\"\"<\/a>One year ago today, Joe Biden recalled<\/a> \u201cthe first time\u201d he \u201cgot arrested\u201d while protesting during the civil rights movement.<\/p>\n

The only problem is there is no evidence<\/a><\/strong> Biden has ever been arrested, and he certainly wasn\u2019t a civil rights activist \u2014 despite repeatedly<\/a><\/strong> saying so.<\/p>\n

But this claim is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Biden\u2019s decades-long record<\/a> of dishonesty.<\/p>\n

Here are 21 made-up stories Biden has told about himself as president.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Biden claimed<\/a> multiples times<\/a>\u00a0he spoke to the \u201cinventor\u201d of insulin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Multiple scientists are credited with discovering insulin; two died<\/a> before Biden was born and there is no evidence Biden met the others.<\/p>\n

2. Biden claimed<\/a> \u2014 on multiple occasions \u2014 he<\/a>\u00a0\u201cused to drive\u201d an 18-wheeler \u2014 sometimes with<\/a> a woman he calls \u201cBig Mama.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden **rode** in an 18-wheeler once<\/a> nearly 50 years ago. He\u2019s never<\/a> driven one.<\/p>\n

3. Biden claimed<\/a>\u00a0he \u201chad a house burn down with my wife in it\u201d and said<\/a> they\u00a0\u201calmost lost a couple firefighters.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2005, Biden\u2019s house had a \u201csmall<\/a>\u201d fire that was contained to the kitchen<\/a> and \u201cthere were no injuries<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

4. Biden claimed<\/a> he was \u201craised in the Puerto Rican community\u201d of Delaware.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no evidence<\/a> of this, of course. In Delaware in 1970, only 2,154 people \u2014 0.39% of the state population<\/a> \u2014 were of Puerto Rican descent.<\/p>\n

5. Biden claimed<\/a>\u00a0he served as a \u201cliaison\u201d to Israeli\u00a0Prime Minister Golda Meir during the Six-Day War.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden was<\/a> plagiarizing<\/a> fellow students at Syracuse law school during the war and Meir wasn\u2019t even prime minister.<\/p>\n

6. Biden said<\/a> he remembered \u201cspending time\u201d and \u201cgoing to\u201d the Tree of Life synagogue after the 2018 shooting.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The synagogue<\/a> said<\/a>\u00a0Biden\u00a0never visited.<\/p>\n

7. Biden claimed<\/a> his \u201cfirst job offer\u201d came from Boise Cascade, an\u00a0Idaho lumber company.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The company said<\/a> they have \u201cno record of President Biden\u2019s application or of him having worked for the company<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

8. Biden said<\/a> after he was elected VP, he awarded his Uncle Frank with a Purple Heart.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden\u2019s uncle \u2014 who was not<\/a> a\u00a0Purple Heart recipient \u2014 died in 1999 and Biden wasn\u2019t elected VP until 2008.<\/p>\n

9. Biden claimed<\/a> he \u201cwas appointed to the [Naval] Academy in 1965.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no record<\/a> of Biden being nominated to the Naval Academy, and Biden graduated from the University of Delaware in 1965 \u2014 making it impossible.<\/p>\n

10. Biden claimed at least seven times<\/a> that he had a conversation with an Amtrak conductor in 2012 or 2013 about traveling over 1 million miles on Air Force Two.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The conductor retired<\/a> in 1993, passed away in 2014, and Biden didn\u2019t hit 1 million miles on AF2 until 2015.<\/p>\n

11. Biden claimed<\/a> oil refinery pollution is the reason \u201cI and so damn many other people I grew up have cancer.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden doesn\u2019t have cancer. He *had* skin cancer, but the cause was sun exposure<\/a> \u2014 not pollution. Biden also previously blamed oil refineries for why he had asthma<\/a>.<\/p>\n

12. Biden frequently<\/a> claims<\/a> to have<\/a> been<\/a> a \u201cfull professor\u201d at the University of Pennsylvania after being VP.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden took nearly $1 million from UPenn<\/a> over a two year time frame when average undergraduate tuition increased by 8 percent<\/a>, but he didn\u2019t<\/a> teach<\/a>a single class.<\/p>\n

13. Biden claimed<\/a> his<\/a> \u201cgreat-grandpop was\u201d a coal miner\u00a0\u2014 something\u00a0he has been saying\u00a0for decades.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He<\/a>\u00a0wasn\u2019t<\/a>, a fact which\u00a0Biden even admitted back in 2004<\/a>.<\/p>\n

14. Biden claimed<\/a> his grandfather was an \u201cAll-American<\/a> football player<\/a>\u201d at Santa Clara<\/a>University.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Santa Clara<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NCAA<\/a>\u00a0records show no evidence of Biden\u2019s grandfather being an All-American.<\/p>\n

15. Biden claimed he \u201ccould have been an All-American<\/a>\u201d football player.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden played on the *freshman* football team for part of *one* semester<\/a> in college. That\u2019s it.<\/p>\n

16. Biden claimed<\/a> he almost walked on to an unnamed NFL team and thought he \u201ccould make it in the pros<\/a>.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no evidence of this. Biden barely played any college football<\/a> before his father forced him to quit the team because of bad grades.<\/p>\n

17. Biden claimed he hit a ball 368 feet \u201coff the wall<\/a>\u201d at his second Congressional baseball game.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biden actually went 0-2, according to a 1974 newspaper<\/a> article.<\/p>\n

18. Biden claimed<\/a> he was \u201cshot at\u201d overseas \u2014 something he also lied<\/a> about in 2007.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It never happened<\/a>.<\/p>\n

19. Biden said<\/a> that when he was a County Council member, a woman once asked him to remove a dead dog from her lawn \u2014 but instead of removing it, Biden claimed<\/a> he left it on her doorstep.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Biden told the same story a year earlier, he said<\/a> he removed it.\u00a0So, which is it?<\/p>\n

20. Biden repeatedly<\/a> claimed<\/a> he was<\/a> \u201cinvolved\u201d in the civil<\/a> rights<\/a> movement.<\/strong><\/p>\n

None of that is remotely<\/a> true<\/a>. Biden even admitted<\/a>\u00a0in 1987 he was \u201cnot an activist.\u201d<\/p>\n

21.\u00a0Biden claimed<\/a> \u201cthe first time\u201d he \u201cgot arrested\u201d was at a civil rights protest.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no evidence Biden has ever<\/a> been arrested (despite repeatedly claiming he has been<\/a>), and he was not<\/a> a civil rights activist.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re hoping to hear another one of these absurd stories, just tune in to Biden\u2019s next speech.<\/p>\n
