Introduction \u2013 Dec 30, 2022<\/strong><\/h1>\n

We should not be under any illusions about the West\u2019s agenda in Ukraine. It is using it as a proxy in an undeclared war against Russia. For years it armed and prepared Kiev\u2019s armed forces for precisely what we see happening now.<\/p>\n

Former French President Hollande and Germany\u2019s Angela Merkel have both openly admitted that the Minsk Agreement with Moscow was simply a ruse<\/a>. It was cynically used to buy Ukraine enough time to arm and prepare itself for a planned military clash with Russia.<\/p>\n

The West is now forcing Russia into a position where if it wants to end the conflict it will have no other option but to strike Ukraine\u2019s supply lines with the West. In other words it will have to strike at Ukraine’s road and rail networks and its airports.<\/p>\n

That may work for a while but if the Ukrainians are resourceful and with help from their Western backers they might find a way round that problem too. In which case Moscow will be forced to consider Ukraine’s backers and Poland, Ukraine’s western neighbour and one of its main corridors of supply, as potential targets.<\/p>\n

Poland\u2019s leaders probably know this and that is why they authorised a recent massive increase in the country\u2019s defence expenditure<\/a>. Just like Ukraine, they are preparing for for what they see as an impending clash with Russia.<\/p>\n

Trouble is if that happens it won\u2019t be confined to Poland because Warsaw is part of the NATO alliance. So an attack on Poland will almost certainly ignite a much wider conflict.<\/p>\n

Those who have been arming and preparing Ukraine for its current conflict know this.<\/p>\n

They understand that Ukraine is simply a stepping-stone to a potentially wider and bloodier conflict and they are banking on Russia acting accordingly.<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m not saying that Russia is the innocent victim in this. They may be just as complicit in this plot to ignite WWIII as the West’s corrupt leaders. However, while Russia is complicit to an extent in the global elite’s plans \u2013 as witness its compliance with global “scamdemic” \u2013 it\u2019s an open question to what degree Russia’s entire leadership is. Lavrov Warns Russia Will Disrupt Western Arms Supplies<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned on Wednesday<\/a> that Russia is working on new ways to disrupt Western arms supplies to Ukraine, signaling that Russia will start targeting more Ukrainian infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe observe that Ukraine is receiving more and more and better Western weapons,\u201d Lavrov said in an interview on Russian TV, according to Al Jazeer<\/em>a. He said strikes on \u201crailway lines, bridges and tunnels\u201d are being considered.<\/p>\n

Russia has been pounding Ukrainian energy infrastructure since October, leaving millions of Ukrainians without power and heat for the winter. But Lavrov\u2019s comments suggest that Russia will be hitting other types of infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The Russian diplomat said that the strikes on Ukraine\u2019s energy grid have already helped disrupt the supply of weapons but added that more will be done. \u201cAnd I am convinced that there are other plans being applied in this regard,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lavrov and other Russian officials have stressed that more US and other Western military aid will escalate and drag out the war.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Russia launched another barrage on Ukraine\u2019s power grid, striking targets with missiles and drones. Ukraine\u2019s Defense Ministry suggested that it was one of the heaviest Russian barrages in the war, writing on Twitter that<\/a> \u201cRussia had been saving one of the most massive missile attacks since the beginning of the full-scale invasion for the last days of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s barrages on Ukraine\u2019s energy infrastructure began after the truck bombing of the Kerch Bridge, which connects Crimea to the Russian mainland. In recent weeks, Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks deep inside Russia, and Moscow has stepped up its bombardment.<\/p>\n
