But this time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukcolumn.org\/video\/uk-column-news-7th-october-2022\">by UK Column<\/a>. Oh no not again.<\/p>\n<p>Before we address these new damning and devastating accusations, let\u2019s briefly review the history of compulsory vaccination in the Russian military.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>June 18, 2021: Russia\u2019s MOD adopts compulsory COVID vaccination decree<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>On June 16, Moscow <a href=\"https:\/\/tass.ru\/obschestvo\/11662659\">introduced<\/a> Russia\u2019s first compulsory vaccination decree. The Defense Ministry followed suit two days later, making vaccination mandatory for employees and contractors.<\/p>\n<p>In an order signed on June 18, 2021, Igor Azarov, Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Ministry of Defense, called for \u201cmandatory preventative\u201d COVID vaccination for Russia\u2019s military. The decree <a href=\"https:\/\/www.garant.ru\/products\/ipo\/prime\/doc\/401305314\/\">applied to:<\/a><\/p>\n<p>1.1. Servicemen of all categories, performing military service by conscription and contract. Citizens called up for military service (military training) who have not completed vaccination before being drafted.<\/p>\n<p>1.2. Employees working in organizations, for individual entrepreneurs operating on the territory of facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defense (including all employees of contractors) in the field of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>military trade and catering;<\/li>\n<li>communal and consumer services;<\/li>\n<li>transport support;<\/li>\n<li>courier-postal communication;<\/li>\n<li>education, including in the field of implementation of additional educational programs;<\/li>\n<li>military healthcare and sanatorium-resort provision;<\/li>\n<li>exhibition, educational events (including employees of museums, exhibition halls, libraries, lecture halls), with the exception of official events organized by military authorities;<\/li>\n<li>patriotic education of children;<\/li>\n<li>sports and recreation complexes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>65% of all Defense Ministry employees needed to receive the first component of the vaccine by July 15, 2021, and the second component by August 15. The decree provided exemptions to those who could not be vaccinated due to medical reasons.<\/p>\n<p>On the same day, Anna Popova, head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor), <a href=\"https:\/\/xn--80aesfpebagmfblc0a.xn--p1ai\/news\/20210618-1441.html\">described<\/a> compulsory vaccination as a \u201cnew tool\u201d that could be used to increase the country\u2019s vaccination rate.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>June 22, 2021: Conscripts will also be injected<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>What is reported above and <a href=\"https:\/\/edwardslavsquat.substack.com\/p\/compulsory-covid-vaccination-in-the\">continues thereafter<\/a> may be disinformation. Scroll down the page to \u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cCoverage\u201d from UK Column<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>UK Column <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukcolumn.org\/video\/uk-column-news-7th-october-2022\">ran a segment on October 7<\/a> which portrayed compulsory vaccination in the Russian military as a \u201choax.\u201d [Starts at around 26:40].<\/p>\n<p>Vanessa Beeley cites two experts that claim that everything that we just documented above is untrue and doesn\u2019t exist:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thomas R\u00f6per, who boldly <a href=\"https:\/\/edwardslavsquat.substack.com\/p\/the-denialism-about-russias-anti\">claimed<\/a> vaccination is entirely voluntary for all Russians (except doctors). He cites a one-sentence statement he allegedly got from his \u201cdirect line\u201d at the Ministry of Defense\u2014this unnamed MOD official purportedly told R\u00f6per vaccination is entirely voluntary. That\u2019s huge news that directly contradicts everything that has happened inside Russia over the last two years. But that\u2019s neither here nor there\u2014where\u2019s the official MOD statement about vaccination being totally voluntary? Can\u2019t find it.
