{"id":259448,"date":"2022-10-04T06:44:01","date_gmt":"2022-10-04T06:44:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=259448"},"modified":"2022-10-05T07:29:45","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T07:29:45","slug":"former-pentagon-advisor-says-us-likely-attacked-nord-stream-pipelines-to-isolate-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=259448","title":{"rendered":"Former Pentagon Advisor Says US Likely Attacked Nord Stream Pipelines to Isolate Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Paul Joseph Watson \u2013 SUMMIT News Oct 3, 2022<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>A former Pentagon advisor says the most likely culprits behind the Nord Stream pipeline blasts are the United States and Britain, and that the attack was carried out to prevent Germany from bailing on the war in Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Retired US Army colonel Douglas Macgregor made the comments during an appearance on the Judging Freedom podcast.<\/p>\n<p>Macgregor said a process of elimination rules out Germany, because they are dependent on Nord Stream for their energy security, while it also served no benefit for Russia to have sabotaged its own infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWould the Russians destroy their own pipeline? 40 percent of Russian gross national product or gross domestic product consists of foreign currency that comes into the country to purchase natural gas, oil, coal and so forth. So the Russians did not do this. The notion that they did I think is absurd,\u201d Macgregor said.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to Polish MEP Radoslaw Sikorski\u2019s infamous deleted tweet in which he wrote, \u201cThank you, USA,\u201d Macgregor noted, \u201cWho else might be involved? Well the Poles apparently seem to be very enthusiastic about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cDouglas Macgregor, former advisor to US Defense Secretary in the administration of Donald Trump, argued the absurdness of the rhetoric that Russia was behind the Nord Stream attack, and said, \u2018The Russians did not do this\u2019.&quot; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zVKesXKVIN\">pic.twitter.com\/zVKesXKVIN<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Comrade Heather \ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddea\u262d\ud83c\uddf5\ud83c\uddf8\u262d\ud83c\uddee\ud83c\uddea (@ComradeHeather) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ComradeHeather\/status\/1576643356267978752?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 2, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, citing reports that more than 500 kg of TNT had been detected in both explosions, the former Pentagon advisor suggested only the United States and British Royal Navy had the capability to pull off the attack.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen you have to look at who are the state actors that have the capability to do this. And that means the Royal Navy, the United States Navy Special Operations,\u201d said Macgregor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that\u2019s pretty clear. We know that thousands of pounds of TNT were used because these pipelines are enormously robust. You have several inches of concrete around various metal alloys to move the natural gas. So it\u2019s not something that you could simply drop a grenade down at the end of a fish line and disrupt. That means it takes a certain amount of sophistication,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Macgregor suggested that the motive behind the attacks was to prevent Germany from bailing on the Ukraine war after Berlin began \u201cto give the impression that they were no longer going to go along with this proxy war in Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m hesitant to say \u2018we know it must have been Washington\u2019. I can\u2019t say that because we just don\u2019t know. But it\u2019s very clear that we have foreclosed Berlin\u2019s options. Berlin was drifting away from this alliance. [Chancellor] Olaf Scholz said \u2018I\u2019m not sending any more equipment, I won\u2019t send any tanks\u2019. Now he\u2019s in a bind because the United States has simply robbed him of the option of bailing out. Who\u2019s going to supply him gas and oil and coal and everything else if he bails out? Where does he turn now?
