The story \u2014 FBI agents with rifles arrested a pro-lifer at his home.<\/p>\n

Here is an account, and then I\u2019ll make comments. LifeSiteNews<\/a>: \u00a0FBI raids home of Catholic pro-life speaker, author with guns drawn as his terrified kids watch<\/em><\/p>\n

A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest \u2014 for supposed \u201cFACE Act\u201d violations \u2014 at his rural home as his children looked on \u201cscreaming.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mark Houck\u00a0is the founder and president of\u00a0The King\u2019s Men, which promotes healing for victims of pornography addiction and promotes Christian virtues among men in the United States and Europe.<\/p>\n

According to his wife Ryan-Marie, who spoke with LifeSiteNews, he also drives two hours south to Philadelphia every Wednesday to sidewalk council for six to eight hours at two different abortion centers.<\/p>\n

Ryan-Marie, who is a homeschool mother, explained the SWAT team of 25 to 30 FBI agents swarmed their property with around 15 vehicles at 7:05 a.m. this morning. Having quickly surrounded the house with rifles in firing position, \u201cthey started pounding on the door and yelling for us to open it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before opening the door, she explained, her husband tried to calm them, saying, \u201c\u2018Please, I\u2019m going to open the door, but, please, my children are in the home. I have seven babies in the house.\u2019 But they just kept pounding and screaming,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

When he opened the door, \u201cthey had big, huge rifles pointed at Mark and pointed at me and kind of pointed throughout the house,\u201d Ryan-Marie described.<\/p>\n

When they came in, they ordered the kids to stay upstairs. \u201cOur staircase is open, so [the kids] were all at the top of the stairs which faces the front door, and I was on the stairs as well, coming down.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe kids were all just screaming. It was all just very scary and traumatic,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

After asking them why they were at the house, the agents said they were there to arrest Mark. When Ryan-Marie asked for their warrant, \u201cthey said that they were going to take him whether they had a warrant or not.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Ryan-Marie protested, saying that is kidnapping, \u201cyou can\u2019t just come to a person\u2019s house and kidnap them at gunpoint,\u201d they agreed to get the warrant for her from one of their vehicles.<\/p>\n

At this point, Mark asked her to get him a sweatshirt and his rosaries, but when she returned, they already had loaded him into a vehicle.<\/p>\n

They provided the first page of the warrant and said they were taking him \u201cto the federal building in downtown Philadelphia.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter they had taken Mark, and the kids were all screaming that he was their best friend, the [FBI agents on her porch] kind of softened a bit. I think they realized what was happening. Or maybe they actually looked at the warrant,\u201d Ryan-Marie explained. \u201cThey looked pretty ashamed at what had just happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

The warrant charged Mark with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, due to a claimed \u201cATTACK OF A PATIENT ESCORT.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ryan-Marie stated this charge comes from an incident that had already been thrown out of the District Court in Philadelphia but was somehow picked up by\u00a0Merrick Garland\u2019s\u00a0Department of Justice.<\/p>\n

On several occasions when Mark went to sidewalk counsel [at an abortion clinic] last year, he took his eldest son, who was only 12 at the time, she explained. For \u201cweeks and weeks,\u201d a \u201cpro-abortion protester\u201d would speak to the boy saying \u201ccrude \u2026 inappropriate and disgusting things,\u201d such as \u201cyou\u2019re dad\u2019s a fag,\u201d and other statements that were too vulgar for her to convey.<\/p>\n

\u201cRepeatedly, Mark would tell this pro-abortion man that he did not have permission to speak to his son and please refrain from doing so. And \u201che kept doing it and kind of came into [the son\u2019s] personal space\u201d obscenely ridiculing his father. At this point, \u201cMark shoved him away from his child, and the guy fell back.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t have any injuries or anything, but he tried to sue Mark, and the case was thrown out of court in the early summer.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s an excerpt from the LifeSiteNews article.<\/p>\n

\u2014Some people reading the account will say, \u201cWell, there had to be more to the story. Mark must have done something else. The FBI would never raid his home with that kind of force just because he pushed a guy one day, and on top of that, the guy\u2019s lawsuit was thrown out of court\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople who are arrested always lie and claim they\u2019re innocent.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe the FBI rifles weren\u2019t loaded.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe the FBI went to the wrong house and arrested the wrong man.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe this pro-lifer Houck is such an expert pusher of people the FBI needed all those agents to protect themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

Or maybe the event unfolded exactly as described in LifeSiteNews.<\/p>\n

And there was no reason to make an arrest.<\/p>\n

And there\u2019s an on-off switch at the Department of Justice: \u201cThis time it\u2019s a Police State, and this time it isn\u2019t.\u201d The FBI director or the Attorney General or a field FBI agent in charge can turn the switch on or off at will. Depending on the case, depending on the agenda.<\/p>\n

Agendas of course have nothing to do with crimes or guilt or innocence or probable cause.<\/p>\n

The judge who signed the warrant \u2014 he also has that on-off switch.<\/p>\n

The headline reads: \u201cAnti-Abortion Activist Charged With Pushing 72-Yr-Old Volunteer to the Ground Outside Clinic.\u201d<\/em> Then there\u2019s an interesting sub-head: \u201cFACING THE MUSIC.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

A Pennsylvania anti-abortion protester was arrested Friday for allegedly shoving a 72-year-old volunteer patient escort to the ground,\u00a0according to an indictment unsealed in Philadelphia federal court. Prosecutors say Mark Houck, 47, was picketing outside a Planned Parenthood clinic in Philly last October when he attacked the senior, who was helping two patients into the facility. The extent of the victim\u2019s injuries are not specified, but the indictment states the person \u201crequired medical attention.\u201d Houck,\u00a0whose website describes him as\u00a0\u201can author, lecturer, radio host, activist and passionate Catholic\u201d who previously worked as a \u201cfull-time chastity educator,\u201d now faces felony charges. He does not have a lawyer listed in court records.<\/p>\n

So in the Daily Beat article it\u2019s \u201cpushed to the ground.\u201d \u201cRequired medical attention.\u201d Does attention mean treatment? No mention of a prior lawsuit against Houck that was thrown out of court, according to Houck\u2019s wife.<\/p>\n

Here is the official release<\/a> from the Dept. of Justice: Bucks County Man Indicted on Federal Charges for Assaulting a Reproductive Healthcare Clinic Escort<\/em><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA \u2014 United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that Mark Houck, 48, of Kintnersville, PA, was charged by Indictment with a violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, which makes it a federal crime to use force with the intent to injure, intimidate, and interfere with anyone because that person is a provider of reproductive health care. The defendant was arrested and made his initial appearance in federal court on these charges earlier today.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, the defendant is alleged to have twice assaulted a man because he was a volunteer reproductive health care clinic escort. The charges stem from two separate incidents both on October 13, 2021, which occurred at the Planned Parenthood Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center on Locust Street in Philadelphia, where Houck allegedly assaulted the victim, a 72-year-old man, identified in the Indictment as \u201cB.L.,\u201d because B.L. was a volunteer escort at the reproductive health care clinic. In the first incident, B.L. was attempting to escort two patients exiting the clinic, when the defendant forcefully shoved B.L. to the ground. In the second incident, the defendant verbally confronted B.L. and forcefully shoved B.L. to the ground in front of the Planned Parenthood center, causing injuries to B.L. that required medical attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cAssault is always a serious offense, and under the FACE Act, if the victim is targeted because of their association with a reproductive healthcare clinic, it is a federal crime,\u201d said U.S. Attorney Romero. \u201cOur Office and the Department of Justice are committed to prosecuting crimes which threaten the safety and rights of all individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crimes like the George Floyd riots that spread to cities across America?<\/p>\n

How many looters, burners, and assaulters were arrested and prosecuted? How many weren\u2019t?<\/p>\n

How many of those rioters who committed serious crimes were visited at their homes by squads of agents with rifles?<\/p>\n

Just trying to keep score.<\/p>\n

Memo to the US Attorney General: Instead of labeling millions of people who\u2019ve lost faith in the DOJ potential domestic terrorists, you might take a look at this Houck case. It could offer insight into that loss of faith. Just a thought. I know you\u2019re very busy with gender pronouns and up to date definitions of non-binary and so on. Nevertheless\u2026carve out a few minutes. Who knows? You might be surprised. Besides, I have a feeling a few million pro-lifers are very interested in what happens to Houck. They\u2019re watching.<\/p>\n
