After they grow, organs could be harvested from such infants. <em>To avoid ethical dilemmas, human embryos will be grown without heads<\/em>. No kidding. The article does not explain how growing human embryos without heads would \u201cavoid ethical dilemmas\u201d, leaving the reader needing to figure it out on their own.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_257775\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MIT-Biotechnology-review.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-257775\" class=\"wp-image-257775\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MIT-Biotechnology-review.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"690\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MIT-Biotechnology-review.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/MIT-Biotechnology-review-480x517.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 640px, 100vw\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-257775\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The idea of this startup is to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>take stem cells from any given individual, such as you or me<\/li>\n<li>modify the genetic code of those stem cells to prevent the formation of a human head (or brain) when developing as an embryo<\/li>\n<li>seed these genetically modified cells into a jar serving as an artificial womb and <strong>grow an artificial human embryo,<\/strong> <strong>but without a head<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>According to the startup, this somehow \u201cavoids ethical dilemmas\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong>Although Hanna doesn\u2019t think an artificial embryo made from stem cells and kept in a lab will ever count as a human being (<\/strong><em>NO SHIT \u2014 I.C.<\/em><strong>)<\/strong>, he has a contingency plan to make sure there is no confusion. It\u2019s possible, for instance, to <strong>genetically engineer the starting cells so the resulting model embryo never develops a head<\/strong>. Restricting its potential <strong>could help avoid ethical dilemmas<\/strong>. \u201cWe think this is important and <strong>have invested a lot in this<\/strong>,\u201d says Hanna.<\/p>\n<p>This plan does have some interesting possibilities, and the article mentions old people who would benefit from youthful immune cells.<\/p>\n<p>The article does not say this out loud, but perhaps a large target market would be all old people who destroyed their immune cells through \u201cCovid vaccine\u201d injections and want to reverse the effect the vaccine had on their immune systems.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the plan, to be explained in simple language, would be something like this: if I get older, and need a replacement organ that is not affected by aging, I could pay this startup to grow an <strong>artificial infant<\/strong>, without a head, but otherwise, a copy of me when I was an infant. Then they could harvest organs from that headless infant to transplant into my aging body, avoiding immune rejection seen with regular transplants.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the transplants are not EXACTLY a copy of my organs, since they carry <em>modified<\/em> <em>genetic code<\/em> that was altered to prevent the formation of a head in the womb. That small distinction is, apparently, lost on the promoters of this idea.<\/p>\n<p>Since infant organs are too small for an adult, the article mentions \u201cimmune cells\u201d, which are just cells. But, I guess, such a headless infant could continue to grow on an accelerated timescale, to provide full size replacement organs for old people.<\/p>\n<p>This is NOT a conspiracy theory, since all the information is in the article. If it sounds crazy, it is not because I invented it \u2014 I am just retelling the story.<\/p>\n<p>Would you pay to grow a headless copy of yourself to harvest organs?
