Some are calling it \u201cpreemptive censorship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Or as the WEF puts it, \u201cTrust and safety teams can stop threats rising online before they reach users.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No doubt that a central part of such \u201cmisinformation\u201d will be strident denunciation of the WEF itself, given that the organization is notorious for blocking its critics on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Many would ask why the World Economic Forum, amidst a cost of living crisis, upcoming energy rationing and a global recession, is concerning itself with any of this.<\/p>\n<p>Why don\u2019t they just stick to the economy?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s never a sure bet if this Davos-based elite\u2019s mouthpiece comes up with its outlandish \u201csolutions\u201d and \u201cproposals\u201d as a way to reinforce existing, or introduce new narratives; or just to appear busy and earn its keep from those bankrolling it,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/reclaimthenet.org\/wef-ai-censor-hate-speech-and-misinformation\/\">writes<\/a> Didi Rankovic<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo \u2013 it\u2019s not the runaway inflation, energy costs, and even food security in many parts of the world.
