\u00a0\u00c9douard Drumont: “The Freemasons”<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u00a0\u00c9douard Drumont (1844-1917) was one <\/strong>of the first to insist that the entire Masonic enterprise was Jewish in origin even though he based his conviction on Masonic texts that had been available in France from the late eighteenth century. [2]<\/p>\n

Drumont was a French journalist who wrote many works on the Jews including La France juive: Essai d’histoire contemporain,<\/em> 2 volumes (1886), Testament d’un antis\u00e9mite<\/em> (1891), Les Juifs et l’affaire Dreyfus <\/em>(1899), La Tyrannie ma\u00e7onnique<\/em> (1899), Les Juifs contre la France<\/em> (1899) and Le Peuple juif <\/em>(1900).\u00a0 Drumont also ran a newspaper La libre parole<\/em>, which was markedly anti-Semitic. In 1899 he founded the ‘Ligue antis\u00e9mitique de France’<\/em> and argued for the exclusion of Jews from society…<\/p>\n
