{"id":253187,"date":"2022-05-07T06:33:51","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T06:33:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=253187"},"modified":"2022-05-08T07:25:18","modified_gmt":"2022-05-08T07:25:18","slug":"tucker-carlson-u-s-is-speeding-toward-one-of-the-great-disasters-in-our-history-with-ukraine-policy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=253187","title":{"rendered":"Tucker Carlson: U.S. is \u2018speeding toward one of the great disasters in our history\u2019 with Ukraine policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Life Site News \u2013 May 5, 2022<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>In a sobering and even chilling monologue on Monday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson raised alarm over the U.S.\u2019s dangerous and rapid incremental escalation of war with nuclear-armed Russia.<\/p>\n<p>As has been shown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/opinion\/monumental-provocation-how-us-and-international-policy-makers-deliberately-baited-putin-to-war\/\">elsewhere<\/a>, neoconservative and liberal hawks in both major parties were \u201cirate\u201d when Russia\u2019s Vladimir Putin intervened in August 2013 to broker a peaceful solution to their desired bombing of Syria. At this point, they immediately retaliated by facilitating an anti-Russia coup d\u2019\u00e9tat in Ukraine six months later.<\/p>\n<p>This reckless animus against Russia among many American elites has been manifested ever since with, for example, Hillary Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2016\/oct\/25\/hillary-clinton-syria-no-fly-zones-russia-us-war\">promising<\/a>, as the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, to implement a no-fly zone over Syria if elected, facilitating a direct conflict with Russia. This hostility has also been seen in the fabricated narrative that Donald Trump was a Russian asset and, as Carlson points out, the bizarre blaming of Russia for Clinton\u2019s loss of the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wGvO8b-tiaM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n&#8212;<\/div>\n<p>Instead of trying to understand why they lost in 2016 to Donald Trump, the Fox News host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wGvO8b-tiaM\">observed<\/a> \u201cDemocratic leaders instead immediately set out to find somebody else to blame for the election results. And soon they settled on Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his estimation, the left began to believe and act upon this narrative even though there was no evidence for it. \u201cDemocrats have convinced themselves that Russia stole the presidency, which rightfully belonged to Hillary Clinton,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd that\u2019s why they are taking us to war with Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reasoning that the West\u2019s intentional advancement of this war is certainly not about \u201csaving democracy,\u201d or \u201cprotecting the sacred borders of a sovereign country,\u201d or \u201chelping the Ukrainian people,\u201d Carlson rationally concluded, \u201cThe war in Ukraine is designed to cause regime change in Moscow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you wanted to save Ukraine, its people, its infrastructure, its nation, you would push for a settlement now. You would have done it two months ago, but they\u2019re not doing that. They\u2019ve rejected it out of hand,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, it only makes sense that the goal is \u201cto topple the Russian government\u201d as a \u201cpayback for the 2016 election. So this is the logical, maybe the inevitable end stage of Russiagate,\u201d Carlson said.<\/p>\n<p>To support his claim, he showed a clip of hard-left Democrat Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/media\/479322-hannity-lunatic-schiff-the-worst-liar-in-all-of-politics\/\">Adam Schiff<\/a> of California\u00a0from two years ago explicitly saying \u201cthe United States aids Ukraine and her people so that we can fight Russia over there and we don\u2019t have to fight Russia here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo we arm Ukraine so we can fight Russia,\u201d Carlson observed. \u201cHow many Americans then or now want to \u2018fight Russia?\u2019 A very small group, but Adam Schiff said it out loud at the time in the House of Representatives. We don\u2019t arm Ukraine so we can help the Ukrainians. They\u2019re merely unfortunate pawns in all of this. We arm Ukraine so that we can punish Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Also supporting his case were clips of other Democrat members of the U.S. House of Representatives visiting Kyiv last weekend, informing Ukrainian President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globalresearch.ca\/the-man-who-sold-ukraine\/5772975?fbclid=IwAR3Eu0FO3LMHJpYcxDF450PxEsEHbl36byNXIi7nuHM6RxHTPpXxKBnL2_o\">Volodymyr Zelenskyy<\/a> and the rest of the world\u2019s press that the current\u00a0war with Russia is not almost over but only just beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Democrat Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado\u00a0announced, \u201cWe are not interested in stalemates. We are not interested in going back to the status quo. The United States of America is in this to win, and we will stand with Ukraine until victory is won.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cReally?\u201d Carlson asked. \u201cSome of us were under the impression, based on their public statements, that we were defending the sovereignty of another country, Ukraine, that it\u2019s not up to us, it\u2019s up to the voters of Ukraine because Ukraine is a democracy.\u00a0But here\u2019s Congressman Crow telling us we\u2019re not going to accept a \u2018stalemate.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed American policy supported an ongoing war into the indefinite future.\u00a0She told the former <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ClaudioDeglinn2\/status\/1506676887657013251\">degenerate comedian<\/a> president, \u201cYour fight is a fight for everyone and so our commitment is to be there for you until [the] fight is done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow did we get here exactly? Do you feel betrayed?\u201d the Fox News host asked.\u00a0 \u201cYou probably didn\u2019t think you were signing up for this. Nancy Pelosi telling us we\u2019re in a war with a nuclear-armed power with no clear end date.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schiff, whom Fox News host Sean Hannity once <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/media\/479322-hannity-lunatic-schiff-the-worst-liar-in-all-of-politics\/\">called<\/a> \u201cthe worst liar in politics,\u201d went on to publicly state, \u201cWe are determined to do everything in our power\u201d to ensure \u201cUkraine is victorious \u2026 We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine and will until victory is won.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the most reckless foreign policy in our lifetimes, in American history,\u201d Carlson said. \u201cYou are watching a group of decadant, in some cases, senile leaders, casually dismiss the consequences of going to war with the nuclear-armed nation, dismiss the consequences of nuclear war, like it\u2019s not even worth thinking about.\u00a0 But it is worth thinking about!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey tell us daily, Vladimir Putin is evil and insane and that may well be true. But this same man has threatened to use nuclear weapons against the United States and western Europe if this continues and why don\u2019t we believe him?\u201d Carlson asked.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9rXXMDGhjUs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n&#8212;<\/div>\n<p>Though the Western media gave it scant coverage, the Fox News host of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/markjoyella\/2020\/06\/30\/tucker-carlson-has-highest-rated-program-in-cable-news-history\/?sh=4642ce726195\">highest<\/a> rated program in cable news history found it enormously relevant to highlight a recent statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warning that the danger of nuclear war is \u201cserious.\u00a0It is real. It cannot be underestimated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo what they\u2019re saying is \u2018we will use nuclear weapons against you and your allies if you don\u2019t back off,\u2019\u201d the host explained.<\/p>\n<p>Two years ago, Putin revised Russia\u2019s nuclear deterrent policy. \u201cThe new policy allows Russia to use nuclear weapons in response to a conventional strike. That means some sort of non-nuclear provocation,\u201d Carlson said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in March, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev \u201cwarned Joe Biden that Russia would indeed use nuclear weapons against the West in response to any \u2018act of aggression that is committed against Russia and its allies.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carlson argued that such an act of aggression could look like the Pentagon\u2019s \u201creckless\u201d assistance to the Ukrainian army last month in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/national-security\/us-intel-helped-ukraine-protect-air-defenses-shoot-russian-plane-carry-rcna26015\">shooting<\/a> down a Russian plane transporting hundreds of soldiers and \u201cthen bragging about it to NBC News.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do know that Putin has placed Russia\u2019s nuclear forces on high alert and again, Russia has the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, and again, why wouldn\u2019t he use those weapons?\u201d Carlson asked. \u201cThey tell us daily he is evil and insane, and he may well be.\u00a0 [Are provocations such as this] a risk? Yeah, but no one in Washington seems worried in the slightest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To further illustrate, Carlson also showed a clip of Republican House Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas, whom he described as a \u201cwidely regarded \u2026 mouthpiece for the Intel agencies.\u201d McCaul argued that should there be chemical or nuclear weapons used in Ukraine \u201cwe would have to respond in kind.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of a sudden, you have sitting members of Congress with access to high-level intelligence talking casually about using chemical weapons or nuclear weapons against a nuclear-armed state,\u201d Carlson observed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo it\u2019s not a defense of Russia. You don\u2019t have to believe Russia was justified in invading Ukraine,\u201d he said.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s not a defense of Putin to think to yourself, \u2018Hold on a second here. How did we get here? Talking about nuclear war on the Sunday shows. Should we be? Are we ready for that?\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear no one in the Biden administration cares or is worried about it at all. The escalation continues at a remarkable pace, and you know that if you watch the money,\u201d Carlson advised.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to highlight the billions of dollars the U.S. has been handing over to Ukraine, which has been considered \u201cone of the most corrupt\u201d governments in the world. This includes a $33 billion dollar package being currently pushed through Congress by the Biden administration that,\u00a0according to Carlson, includes \u201clonger-range artillery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn other words, we\u2019re sending artillery to Ukraine that could easily strike Russian territory and we\u2019re sending $33 billion to do it,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>For these reasons, Carlson concluded, the U.S. \u201cis speeding toward one of the great disasters in our history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifesitenews.com\/news\/tucker-carlson-warns-that-u-s-is-speeding-toward-one-of-the-great-disasters-in-our-history-with-ukraine-policy\/\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c(US) Democrats have convinced themselves that Russia stole the presidency that rightfully belonged to Hillary Clinton\u201d, says Tucker Carlson.
