After Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Russia had attacked the Babi Yar Holocaust memorial in Kiev in an attempt to \u201cerase our history,\u201d an Israeli journalist visited the site to discover that it was in fact \u201cunscathed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Narrative fail.<\/p>\n

Legacy media outlets breathlessly reported on Monday that the memorial had been deliberately attacked by an air strike, amplifying Zelensky\u2019s claim that the destruction was \u201cbeyond humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c[The Russians] have orders to erase our history, our country and all of us,\u201d Zelensky said. \u201cYou killed Holocaust victims for the second time.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the attack had actually targeted the nearby television tower and the memorial was not damaged.<\/p>\n

The memorial was \u201cnot harmed and no bomb, missile or artillery shell hit the site itself,\u201d Ynet News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n
