Sergio Ag\u00fcero was taken to hospital for a cardio examination after being substituted in the 41st minute of Barcelona\u2019s 1-1 draw at home to Alav\u00e9s on Saturday, their first match since the sacking of coach Ronald Koeman<\/p>\n

The striker seemed to be suffering from breathing issues but managed to walk off the pitch, with the club later confirming Ag\u00fcero had gone to hospital to have his heart checked.<\/p>\n

Caretaker coach Sergi Barju\u00e1n said: \u201cHe told me he was a little dizzy. I have found out now that they have taken him to the hospital to see what he really has. I do not know any more.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pandemic has reached far beyond spot, but in the ultra-competitive sphere of football, clubs are terrified of losing players and staff through positive COVID-19 tests.<\/p>\n

Players have to be tested every day as part of the current restrictions, and when a positive test strikes, it means a spell on the sidelines for a player and time away from the team for a coach.<\/p>\n

Of course, we now know that vaccinations don\u2019t prevent contraction of the virus, but recovery is improved, and with the Blaugrana<\/a> keen to keep all of its players and staff safe, they have moved quickly to vaccinate them.<\/p>\n

According to Mundo Deportivo<\/a>, from the Juvenil section up to the first team, 99.9% of its playing staff have now been vaccinated.<\/p>\n
