COVID czar Dr. Anthony Fauci told journalists Sunday that \u201cmany, many more mandates\u201d for COVID-19 shots can be expected in the drive to push uptake of the jabs.<\/p>\n

Fauci, the chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), made the remarks as part of an interview<\/a> with Jen Christensen, a CNN reporter and vice president of print & broadcast at the Association of LGBTQ Journalists.<\/p>\n

During Sunday\u2019s interview with the LGBT press group<\/a>, Fauci suggested that \u201cthe vaccines really do work, even against the delta variant,\u201d and strongly encouraged taking the jabs to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus. \u201cThat\u2019s the key to ending this [crisis],\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we have a really unfortunate situation,\u201d Fauci continued, explaining that \u201cwe have a pretty hardcore group of people that we\u2019re trying to persuade\u201d to take the shot, \u201cor mandate them if they\u2019re not persuaded to get vaccinated.\u201d This group consists of around 75 million Americans, Fauci said.<\/p>\n

However, mounting evidence demonstrates the failure of COVID shots<\/a> to protect against infection with the virus, with the inventor of the mRNA technology \u2014 used in many of the COVID shots \u2014 stating<\/a> that \u201cnatural immunity is about 20 times more protective than the vaccine is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Robert Malone, who has researched vaccines for 30 years, noted that not only is natural immunity a strong barrier against COVID reinfection and illness, as corroborated by numerous studies<\/a>, but warned that the spike protein found in the mRNA shots, \u201cif biologically active, is very dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Fauci insisted that the spread of COVID-19 \u201cwould cut down dramatically \u2026 if we got the overwhelming majority of that recalcitrant group vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n

While many Americans have clearly stated their opposition to the abortion-tainted shots on moral<\/a>, scientific<\/a>, and constitutional<\/a> grounds, Fauci characterized COVID jab skepticism and refusal as \u201calmost inexplicable.\u201d He smeared the 75 million vaccine-eligible Americans who have not taken the shot as having a \u201cpolitical bent,\u201d given that they \u201cfeel that they don\u2019t want to be told to mask up and they don\u2019t want to be told to get vaccinated which is just completely inexplicable given the fact that we\u2019re in the middle of the most deadly pandemic that we\u2019ve ever faced in the last 102 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Such people, Fauci said, are a source of \u201cdivisiveness in society\u201d and \u201cpart of the problem.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s nothing productive about the divisiveness we\u2019re seeing now \u2026 hopefully we can change that.\u201d<\/p>\n

To bring about his desire for ubiquitous inoculation against COVID, Fauci suggested employing \u201ctrusted public messengers who put aside political ideologies,\u201d and whose expertise might \u201cconvince people to get vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe other way to do it,\u201d Fauci advised, \u201cis to have many, many more mandates.\u201d<\/p>\n

He admitted that this suggestion \u201crankles a lot of people,\u201d but predicted that instead of centralized mandates, like Biden\u2019s September 9 order<\/a>, \u201cyou\u2019re going to see situations locally \u2026 mandates where colleges, universities, places of business, large corporations, they\u2019re going to say if you want to work for us you\u2019ve got to be vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fauci favored localized mandates, saying they will \u201cturn this around because I don\u2019t think people are going to want to not go to work or not go to college or not go to university. They\u2019re going to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have enough people who are not vaccinated that we can\u2019t really nail down and just crush this outbreak yet until we get those people vaccinated,\u201d Fauci said. \u201cYou\u2019d like to have them do it on a totally voluntary basis, but if that doesn\u2019t work you\u2019ve got to go to the alternatives.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a podcast interview with theSkimm<\/em>, set to be released Thursday, Fauci has publicly supported<\/a> banning unvaccinated individuals from air travel within the U.S.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would support that if you want to get on a plane and travel with other people, you should be vaccinated,\u201d Fauci said in a teaser for the podcast.<\/p>\n

The senior adviser\u2019s endorsement prompted criticism from airline industry experts, who said that implementing a vaccine passport scheme would pose a \u201clogistical nightmare,\u201d according to a Fox News<\/em> report<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Travel Association, a not-for-profit travel industry advocacy group, commented on Fauci\u2019s proposal in a press statement<\/a> Monday, explaining that air travel is demonstrably safe without the need for vaccination against COVID.<\/p>\n

\u201cU.S. Travel has long maintained that there should be no mandatory vaccination requirement for domestic travel,\u201d the group stated. \u201cSuch a policy would have an unfair, negative impact on families with young children who are not yet eligible to get the vaccine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though the group rejected the idea of mandating the jabs, it recommended vaccination as \u201cthe fastest path back to normalcy for all.\u201d<\/p>\n

A number of airline executives have also raised concerns with requiring proof of a COVID shot for all passengers, citing practicality issues<\/p>\n

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker said last month that requiring vaccination \u201cwouldn\u2019t be physically possible to do without enormous delays in the airline system,\u201d a system already plagued by division<\/a> among carriers on whether COVID passports can be implemented.<\/p>\n

Like Parker, Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly also indicated that vaccine passports would not be required by his airline, though he encouraged the voluntary uptake of the jab.<\/p>\n

As things stand, approximately 179 million Americans \u2014 53.9 percent of the population \u2014 have received a full regimen of COVID shots, with 1.8 million having received booster doses in the last 30 days, according<\/a> to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).<\/p>\n

Just over 54 percent of Americans who are considered \u201cfully vaccinated\u201d have taken the Pfizer\/BioNTech mRNA jab, the same shot associated with over 50 percent of all adverse event reports<\/a> to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) following a COVID shot between December 14, 2020, and September 3, 2021. VAERS records also show Pfizer to have a disproportionately high death count<\/a> following inoculation, accounting for 69 percent of all death reports on VAERS involving a COVID-19 jab.<\/p>\n
