{"id":242392,"date":"2021-09-08T10:37:47","date_gmt":"2021-09-08T10:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=242392"},"modified":"2021-09-09T05:56:21","modified_gmt":"2021-09-09T05:56:21","slug":"cyber-attack-cripples-new-zealand-banks-post-offices","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=242392","title":{"rendered":"Cyber Attack Cripples New Zealand BANKS, Post Offices"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Hal Turner \u2013 The Hal Turner Show Sept 7, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>A cyber attack is being blamed for almost complete failure of major banking web sites in New Zealand today.<\/p>\n<p>Government Cyber Security agency &#8220;Cert NZ&#8221; said it was aware of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stuff.co.nz\/business\/122652265\/experts-confident-ddos-attacks-will-fizzle-out-and-attackers-will-be-left-outofpocket\">distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack<\/a>\u00a0targeting a number of organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are monitoring the situation and are working with affected parties where we can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DDoS attacks involve cyber-criminals overloading and crashing an organization\u2019s online services by bombarding their internet-facing systems with vast amounts of traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of users began reporting problems accessing the online services of ANZ, Kiwibank and NZ Post from shortly before 9am on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>ANZ Bank, KiwiBank and New Zealand Post all suffered outages.\u00a0 Banking customers were unable to access account information or even get to the bank web sites.<\/p>\n<p>Remember the World Economic Forum (WEF) held a simulation several months ago, which practices how authorities and industry might respond to a &#8220;massive cyber attack&#8221; and when reporting about that &#8220;exercise&#8221; the Hal Turner Radio Show reminded listeners &#8220;these exercises often turn out to be real shortly after.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>HAL TURNER OPINION<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>At least two years ago, word was passed on the Internet that if people heard about a cyber attack against BANKS starting in mid-week, <u>and getting worse by Friday<\/u>, some people suspected troops would be quietly deployed over the weekend and a Bank Holiday would be declared the following Monday, cutting off everyone&#8217;s access to money and credit.\u00a0 That &#8220;Bank Holiday would then be extended for\u00a0 . . . who knows how long.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/halturnerradioshow.com\/index.php\/en\/news-page\/world\/cyber-attack-cripples-new-zealand-banks-post-offices\">Continues &#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A cyber attack is being blamed for almost complete failure of major banking web sites in New Zealand today.
