{"id":242176,"date":"2021-09-05T10:05:25","date_gmt":"2021-09-05T10:05:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=242176"},"modified":"2021-09-06T07:14:38","modified_gmt":"2021-09-06T07:14:38","slug":"one-in-five-americans-want-to-take-their-vote-for-biden-back-poll-shows-20-regret-voting-for-him-as-president-while-his-approval-rating-continues-to-drop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=242176","title":{"rendered":"One in five Americans want to take their vote for Biden BACK: Poll shows 20% regret voting for him as president while his approval rating continues to drop"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><strong>More males regretted their vote than females, as did more minorities than white people\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Young Biden voters were more likely to regret their vote than older ones<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Three in 10 Republicans who voted for Biden now regret doing so\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The poll was conducted before even the fall of Kabul and the ensuing Republican calls for impeachment over Biden&#8217;s handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Morgan Phillips \u2013 Daily Mail.com Sept 3, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>One-fifth of voters who marked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/joe-biden\/index.html\"><strong>Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a>&#8216;s name on their ballot now want their vote back, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n<p>A poll conducted by<a href=\"https:\/\/zogbyanalytics.com\/news\/1035-the-zogby-poll-one-fifth-of-likely-voters-and-democrats-regret-voting-for-biden\"><strong> Zogby Analytics<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/zogbyanalytics.com\/news\/1035-the-zogby-poll-one-fifth-of-likely-voters-and-democrats-regret-voting-for-biden\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>found\u00a020 percent of Biden voters now regret their choice, 4 percent aren&#8217;t sure and 76 percent still have confidence in the commander-in-chief.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly three in ten (29%) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/republicans\/index.html\"><strong>Republicans<\/strong><\/a> who voted Biden regretted it, while one-fifth (20%) of Democrats felt the same and 14% of Independents.<\/p>\n<p>Men were far more likely to regret their vote than women &#8211; 27% of males regretted their vote for the Democratic ticket, where only 13% of females felt the same.<\/p>\n<p>Young people and minorities were also far more likely to regret their vote. Hispanics regretted their vote the most, 33% of them, where 25% of African Americans felt the same, as did 16% of white people.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, 27% of voters 18-29 regretted their vote for Biden, 30% of voters 30-49 felt the same. Only 10% of voters 50-64 regretted their Biden vote and 6% of those 65+ felt the same.<\/p>\n<p>The survey, conducted online with\u00a02,173 Biden-voting respondents, was taken the week of Aug. 5-13, before the fall of Kabul and the most recent onslaught of criticism Biden has faced for his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p>Most interestingly, urban voters regretted their vote more than suburban and rural ones. Twenty-eight percent of urban Biden voters regretted their vote while only 14% of suburban voters felt the same, as did 12% of rural voters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;On the surface it doesn&#8217;t seem like much, especially if you look at the three quarters of likely voters who did not regret their vote,&#8217; pollster Jonathan Zogby wrote.<\/p>\n<p>But, he said, &#8216;If you take into consideration the size of the electorate, and how the last two Presidential elections (2016 and 2020) were decided by tens of thousands of votes in a handful of battleground states, this could really hurt President Biden&#8217;s chances in 2024.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s approval rating has dipped to 44%, while 51% disapprove, according to a\u00a0 ABC News\/Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.langerresearch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/1222a1BidenandAfghanistan.pdf\"><strong>survey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A breakdown of the numbers shows just 36 percent of Independent voters approving of Biden, while only 8 percent of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/republicans\/index.html\"><strong>Republicans<\/strong><\/a> think he&#8217;s doing a good job.<\/p>\n<p>His approval is still strong amongst fellow Democrats at 86 percent &#8211; though it&#8217;s a steep drop to just 56 percent approving of his job in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n<p>The 44 percent figure is a six-point drop from Biden&#8217;s June approval numbers.
