{"id":240463,"date":"2021-08-09T07:07:18","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T07:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=240463"},"modified":"2021-08-10T06:08:41","modified_gmt":"2021-08-10T06:08:41","slug":"parisians-again-march-in-protest-against-covid-passport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=240463","title":{"rendered":"Parisians Again March in Protest Against Covid Passport"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Thousands of anti-vaccine pass protestors take to streets of Paris &#8211; hours after neighbouring Italy starts demanding digital certificate to enter gyms and restaurants<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Thousands of anti-vax protesters have taken to the streets of Paris to oppose planned Covid-19 passports\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Neighbouring Italy rolled out such passports yesterday to allow people access to restaurants and theatres\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Hundreds of French riot police were deployed to prevent any mass disorder which greeted earlier protests\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>AFP \u2013 Aug 7, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Protesters took to the streets across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/france\/index.html\"><strong>France<\/strong><\/a> on Saturday for the fourth weekend in a row to rally against a new health pass needed to enter a cafe or travel on an inter-city train, two days before the new rules come into force.<\/p>\n<p>The new rules championed by President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/emmanuel-macron\/index.html\"><strong>Emmanuel Macron<\/strong><\/a> make it obligatory to have either a full course of vaccination against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/coronavirus\/index.html\"><strong>Covid-19<\/strong><\/a>, be in possession of a negative test or be recently recovered from the virus to enjoy usually routine activities.<\/p>\n<p>Macron, who faces re-election next year, hopes the new rules will encourage all French to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and defeat the virus and its fast-spreading Delta variant.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as Italy prepares to introduce it&#8217;s own &#8216;green pass system, where those who have at least one vaccine dose or have recovered from Covid-19 or who have tested negative within the past 48 hours will be allowed to access gyms and restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>The system, which will start on Friday, will be mandatory for everyone over the age of 12.<\/p>\n<p>However, measures to help stop the spread of Covid-19 have been controversial in France, with\u00a0opponents, who have turned out en masse in the streets , arguing that the rules encroach on civil liberties in a country where individual freedom is prized.<\/p>\n<p>From Monday, the health pass will be needed to eat in a restaurant or enjoy a drink in a cafe both indoors and on a terrace.
