UK, US AND TECHNOLOGY NEWS (@UKUSANDTECHNOL1) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UKUSANDTECHNOL1\/status\/1417379992145702939?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 20, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Footage of the protests was even\u00a0censored from social media, prompting one outlet to suggest that the \u2018conspiracy theorists might be right\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The huge protest came after it was announced, on \u201cfreedom day\u201d, that\u00a0vaccine passports would be mandatory\u00a0to enter \u201ccrowded venues\u201d from the end of September.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the government indicated that the system would be expanded to apply not only to venues, but in\u00a0workplaces, including offices.<\/p>\n<p>The London protests follow similar scenes in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newspunch.com\/thousands-of-french-citizens-rise-up-to-reject-macrons-vaccine-passports\/\">France<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newspunch.com\/greece-thousands-protest-against-vaccination-measures\/\">Greece<\/a>, where the government have announced plans to exclude the unvaccinated from society.<\/p>\n<p>French President Emmanuel Macron has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/summit.news\/2021\/07\/19\/macron-forced-to-back-down-on-mandating-vaccine-passports-for-shopping-malls-after-nationwide-protests\/\">forced to back down<\/a>\u00a0on imposing mandatory vaccine passports for entry to shopping malls after several volatile nationwide protests.<\/p>\n<p>As we\u00a0previously noted, while the UK government has claimed to have lifted restrictions, the use of masks and social distancing continues, as does government tracking and forced quarantines, along with the aforementioned introduction of vaccine passports.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the complete antithesis of freedom.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newspunch.com\/uk-police-filmed-beating-anti-lockdown-protestors-black-and-blue-on-freedom-day\/\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forget quaint old images of British police like Dixon of Dock Green.
