Why the hell do they need to vaccinate kids against Covid-19 when most youngsters will be naturally resilient? This question is all the more pressing given that thousands of adverse reactions to the vaccine have been reported, including deaths<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All this for an affliction that will, for youngsters anyway, be little worse than seasonal flu.<\/p>\n

To add insult to injury the Sun quotes Professor Neil Ferguson who says it is \u201cinevitable\u201d that youngsters will need to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>This is the same Neil Ferguson who warned last year that Covid-19 could kill as many as \u201chalf a million\u201d Britons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact Prof. Ferguson has a history of making catastrophic misjudgements:<\/p>\n

[Imperial College epidemiologist Neil] Ferguson was behind the disputed research that sparked the mass culling of eleven million sheep and cattle during the 2001 outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. He also predicted that up to 150,000 people could die. There were fewer than 200 deaths. . .<\/p>\n

In 2002, Ferguson predicted that up to 50,000 people would likely die from exposure to BSE (mad cow disease) in beef. In the U.K., there were only 177 deaths from BSE.<\/p>\n

In 2005, Ferguson predicted that up to 150 million people could be killed from bird flu. In the end, only 282 people died worldwide from the disease between 2003 and 2009.<\/p>\n

In 2009, a government estimate, based on Ferguson\u2019s advice, said a \u201creasonable worst-case scenario\u201d was that the swine flu would lead to 65,000 British deaths. In the end, swine flu killed 457 people in the U.K.<\/p>\n

Last March, Ferguson admitted that his Imperial College model of the COVID-19 disease was based on undocumented, 13-year-old computer code that was intended to be used for a feared influenza pandemic, rather than a coronavirus. Ferguson declined to release his original code so other scientists could check his results. He only released a heavily revised set of code last week, after a six-week delay.<\/p>\n

Indeed. Why is the Sun even quoting him when he has such an appalling track record? Why are they promoting a vaccination program with a vaccine that has not been properly tested?<\/p>\n

First it was the old, then the rest of the adult population and now youngsters are being lined up for vaccinations, all in the name of achieving herd immunity. How long before vaccinations become mandatory for all? Ed.<\/p>\n

CHILDREN will be offered the Covid vaccine later this year, it has been claimed amid experts warning kids must be vaccinated if the UK is to reach herd immunity.<\/p>\n

The Government is reportedly hopeful that vulnerable teens between 12 and 15, and 17-year-olds three months shy of their 18th birthday will be offered a jab.<\/p>\n

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) will make the recommendation on Monday but will stop short of encouraging all kids to get vaccinated until trials conclude later this year, according to the Telegraph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, experts warn the UK won’t reach herd immunity unless children under 16 in Britain – who account for one in five of the population – are fully vaccinated.<\/p>\n

Professor Neil Ferguson – dubbed \u2018Professor Lockdown\u2019 –\u00a0said it was “inevitable” teens would need the jab.<\/p>\n

“In the absence of vaccinating it’s inevitable that we’re going to have very high numbers of cases in teenagers, and we will not be able to reach herd immunity without significant immunity in people under 18,” he told the BBC.<\/p>\n

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which approves medicines and vaccine for use in the UK, greenlighted the Pfizer jab for 12 to 15-year-olds in June following trials, but more data on the impact on younger children is still needed.<\/p>\n

Both Pfizer and AstraZeneca are expected to hand in their findings from ongoing trials later this year.<\/p>\n
