He is also wearing a baseball cap printed with Black Lives Matter.<\/h4>\n<h4>Mitchell has admitted the photo is of him from that date, but defended attending the rally, claiming it was not explicitly a protest against police or a commemoration for George Floyd.<\/h4>\n<h4>That is despite the fact that\u00a0Floyd&#8217;s brother and sister, Philonise and Bridgett Floyd, and relatives of other African Americans who have been shot by police addressed the crowd that day.<\/h4>\n<h4>Mitchell said he answered &#8216;no&#8217; to two questions about demonstrations on the questionnaire sent out before jury selection.<\/h4>\n<h4>Experts say the revelation could be grounds for the cop&#8217;s appeal.<\/h4>\n<h4>Mitchell and Chauvin&#8217;s attorney, Eric Nelson, have not returned messages from DailyMail.com seeking comment.<\/h4>\n<h4>Mitchell, 31, acknowledged being at the event and that his uncle posted the photo, but said he doesn&#8217;t recall wearing or owning the shirt.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9539447\/Chauvin-juror-defends-participation-Washington-protest.html\">Continues \u2026<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Derek Chauvin&#8217;s hopes for an appeal have just been given a massive boost after it was found that one of the jurors in his trial had lied on a jury questionaire.
