{"id":231230,"date":"2021-04-09T07:32:04","date_gmt":"2021-04-09T07:32:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=231230"},"modified":"2021-04-10T06:01:10","modified_gmt":"2021-04-10T06:01:10","slug":"russia-warns-the-beginning-of-the-end-of-ukraine-will-be-imminent-if-it-has-to-defend-its-citizens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=231230","title":{"rendered":"Russia warns &#8216;the beginning of the end of Ukraine&#8217; will be imminent if it &#8216;has to defend its citizens&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Nuclear capable 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar system is moved by rail to the Krasnodar region.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kremlin official referred to having to defend civilians from a &#8216;second Srebrenica&#8217;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Moscow claims that Ukraine is inflaming tensions by beefing up border security\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It comes as new footage emerged showing tanks being transported to frontier\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Vladimir Putin insists deployment is defensive and to check &#8216;combat readiness&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Rob Ibbetson and Will Stewart \u2013 Daily Mail April 8, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>A senior Kremlin official today warned that if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/russia\/index.html\"><strong>Russia<\/strong><\/a> is forced to defend its citizens in the disputed Donbass region it would be &#8216;the beginning of the end <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/ukraine\/index.html\"><strong>Ukraine<\/strong><\/a>.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Tensions have soared in eastern Ukraine in recent weeks after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/vladimir_putin\/index.html\"><strong>Vladimir Putin<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0dispatched tanks, helicopters and thousands of troops to the Ukrainian border.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine&#8217;s president\u00a0Volodymyr Zelenskiy flew into Donbass today in a new show of strength as he shook hands with soldiers along the frontier which separates them from Russian-backed rebels<\/p>\n<p>Putin insists the build up of military hardware close to the border is defensive and that upcoming drills are part of routine &#8216;combat readiness&#8217; inspections.<\/p>\n<p>But the deputy head of Russia&#8217;s presidential administration, Dmitry Kozak, continued the Kremlin&#8217;s tough rhetoric today, as he warned: &#8216;The start of military action &#8211; this would be the beginning of the end of Ukraine.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Kozak was asked if Russia would protect its citizens in eastern Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Referring in his reply to Srebrenica, where about 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed by Bosnian Serb forces during Bosnia&#8217;s 1992-1995 war, he said: &#8216;It all depends on the scale of the fire. If there is, as our president says, Srebrenica, apparently we will have to step in to defend (them).&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Putin has made previous analogies to a &#8216;second\u00a0Srebrenica&#8217; if Ukraine does not submit to an amnesty on new border lines which have emerged since the conflict started in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Putin today accused Ukraine of &#8216;provocative actions&#8217; in a phone call with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_230914\" style=\"width: 644px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/41229454-9427633-Russia_has_used_trains_to_move_massive_military_vehicles_toward_-a-8_1617296966795.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-230914\" class=\"size-full wp-image-230914\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/41229454-9427633-Russia_has_used_trains_to_move_massive_military_vehicles_toward_-a-8_1617296966795.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"634\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/41229454-9427633-Russia_has_used_trains_to_move_massive_military_vehicles_toward_-a-8_1617296966795.jpg 634w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/41229454-9427633-Russia_has_used_trains_to_move_massive_military_vehicles_toward_-a-8_1617296966795-480x233.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 634px, 100vw\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-230914\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Russia has used trains to transport large numbers of military vehicles close to its border with Ukraine in recent weeks.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The president&#8217;s words reflect the masses of military hardware which has been seen being ferried for thousands of miles to the border region.<\/p>\n<p>Footage emerged today showing a Buk missile system in the\u00a0in Voronezh region which borders Ukraine, amid new fears that Moscow could be massing an invasion-capable force.<\/p>\n<p>The weapons system was used in rebel-held Donetsk region in 2014 to down a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 killing 298 people.<\/p>\n<p>More footage shows the nuclear-capable 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar system being moved on a military train in Krasnodar region.<\/p>\n<p>New satellite images have also revealed\u00a0a field camp for Russian forces in the same region as the BUK was seen.<\/p>\n<p>The Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) highlighted the base which has appeared in recent days.<\/p>\n<p>Ruslan Leviev, from CIT, told BBC Ukraine: &#8216;We notice the movement of all the units.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;These are both &#8220;Pskov paratroopers&#8221;
