Okay, so it was actually a republish of an article written by Elizabeth Gulino that originally appeared on the website Refinery 29<\/em>. Still, Yahoo News<\/em> would not have published the piece<\/a>, entitled \u201cHonestly, Satanism Sounds Pretty Great,\u201d if it did not agree with its tenets.<\/p>\n

In the piece, Gulino discusses the recent controversy<\/a> over homosexual rapper Lil Nas X\u2019s new \u201cSatan Shoes Edition 666,\u201d which he ripped off from the Nike Air Max 97 line without the company\u2019s permission.<\/p>\n

These devil shoes predictably stirred up the fury of the evangelical right, which Gulino described in modern terms as \u201cconservative Christian Twitter.\u201d Last we checked, Christians are not exactly allowed to use Twitter with any type of gumption, but we digress.<\/p>\n

Gulino\u2019s point, and the one Yahoo News<\/em> also wants readers to understand, is that the religion of Satanism is supposedly not as satanic as many have been led to believe.<\/p>\n

Unlike fundamentalist Christianity, which Gulino says is intolerant and hateful of others, the Church of Satan adheres to dogmas that are an almost perfect reflection of the tenets of left-wing \u201cprogressivism.\u201d<\/p>\n

In fact, Satanism sounds like a carbon copy of leftist politics, complete with all the pomp and circumstance about how \u201cvirtuous\u201d it is compared to other religions and belief systems.<\/p>\n

In attempting to make the point that Satanism is \u201ctolerant\u201d and \u201cempathetic\u201d towards others, Gulino makes the claim that this religious belief system is all-inclusive \u2013 except for Christianity, of course, which is still bad and not to be tolerated.<\/p>\n

Leftist politics is Satanism in action<\/h2>\n

While Lil Nas X is not officially a member of the Church of Satan, despite his Satan Shoes gimmick, the religion\u2019s leaders say he would be welcome in an instant should he decide to join.<\/p>\n

Apparently, Satanism is where all the LGBTQs go, at least according to Gulino. Because conservative Christians allegedly told Lil Nas X that he is going to hell for being queer, he is now a living symbol of Satanism.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe video itself is a symbol of the rapper\u2019s relationship with the church as a gay man \u2013 they told him he was going to Hell [sic], so he went,\u201d Gulino writes. \u201cAnd he had a good time doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gulino further praised The Satanic Temple\u2019s seven tenets, which \u201cpreach acting with compassion and empathy, fighting for justice, upholding bodily autonomy and science, and reducing harm.\u201d<\/p>\n

On its website, The Satanic Temple further claims to have:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 publicly confronted hate groups, fought for the abolition of corporal punishment in public schools, applied for equal representation when religious installations are placed on public property, provided religious exemption and legal protection against laws that unscientifically restrict women\u2019s reproductive autonomy, exposed harmful pseudo-scientific practitioners in mental health care.\u201d<\/p>\n

Once again, you can clearly see that each of these points is shared by the Democrat Party, which maintains as its agenda each of the tenets of Satanism. If it is touted as a Democrat \u201cvirtue,\u201d chances are it directly aligns with the religion of Satanism.<\/p>\n

The Babylon Bee<\/em>\u2018s Seth Dillon noticed this as well and tweeted about it, writing:<\/p>\n

The massive growth of Satanism in recent years is attributed by Lucien Greaves, the religion\u2019s leader, to \u201cthe increasing overreach of the theocratic right.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think when people look back and recognize that there was a booming nontheistic Satanic revival in the early 21st century, I think they\u2019ll attribute that to \u2013 at least equally to \u2013 people like Mike Pence, if they attribute that to people like me,\u201d Greaves is further quoted as saying.<\/p>\n
