Israel\u2019s biggest news outlet\u00a0Ynet<\/a>\u00a0reported a few hours ago \u00a0that in\u00a0the country\u00a0voluntarily making itself Pfizer\u2019s testing ground,\u00a0 \u201c75.4% of those diagnosed yesterday were under 39.\u00a0 Only 5.5% were over 60. \u201cThe\u00a0number\u00a0of critical patients dropped to 858 – the lowest since January\u00a04. However, this\u00a0number is more than\u00a0double that in\u00a0mid-December, just before Israel started its \u2018pioneering\u2019 experiment in mass vaccination.\u00a0 Ynet reports today that \u201cIn Israel 59.9% of critical patients are over 60 years old. 18.2% are aged 50 to 59. In addition, 10.8% are aged 40 to 49 and 7.5% are in their 30s. As of today, more than a third\u00a0of critical\u00a0patients are between 30 to 59 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n

The meaning of the above can hardly be denied or at least\u00a0demands immediate\u00a0attention. The country that leads\u00a0the mass\u00a0vaccination contest\u00a0reports a\u00a0radical shift in the nature of the pandemic. It doesn\u2019t take a genius to suspect that there may be a correlation between the mass vaccination campaign and the growing vulnerability of younger age groups including new-born and pregnant women. The biology here is also far from being too complicated. The virus that initially preyed on the elderly and vulnerable has morphed by means of mutation and is now fit enough to attack other segments of society and particularly younger age groups.<\/p>\n

Up to the\u00a020th\u00a0of December,\u00a0the day Israel launched its mass vaccination campaign the country had logged 3,074 deaths. In less than two months of \u2018successful\u2019\u00a0mass vaccination that number\u00a0almost\u00a0doubled.\u00a0As of writing this article, it\u00a0stands on 5,526. This spectacular rise\u00a0in deaths (80% in less than two months) occurred\u00a0when\u00a0the country was in lockdown, hence\u00a0it wasn\u2019t exactly \u2018social gathering\u2019 that helped the virus spread. The only thing that was spreading in Israel in these two months was the Pfizer vaccines and the so-called British mutant that\u00a0is apparently\u00a0more\u00a0popular\u00a0in\u00a0Bnei Brak<\/a>\u00a0than in Kent.\u00a0The inevitable question here is whether there is a connection between vaccination and mutants, but this is the one question no one is allowed to ask in Israel.<\/p>\n

In November 2020\u00a0Israeli Health Ministry<\/a>\u00a0data revealed that Israel detected 400 cases coronavirus under the age of two. By February 2021, that number grew to 5,800.\u00a0 We are dealing with a clear rise of about\u00a01300%, impressive indeed. Israeli Ynet reports that this kind of rise in numbers of new-born Covid-19 morbidity are reported\u00a0around the world, I\u00a0investigated it\u00a0but didn\u2019t manage to find any confirmation that this is indeed the case.\u00a0 In Britain, for instance, all I find is reports\u00a0on a \u2018Covid-19\u00a0baby boom\u2019 and some concerns\u00a0regarding a rise\u00a0in child obesity. In fact,\u00a0nobody\u00a0reports on a rise of\u00a01300%\u00a0in new-born Covid-19 except Israel.<\/p>\n

I am not in a position to determine\u00a0what led\u00a0Israelis to make themselves\u00a0into guinea\u00a0pigs for a pharma giant with a dubious\u00a0safety and ethical record<\/a>.\u00a0The possibility must be considered that in Israel the success of a mass vaccination campaign\u00a0could be Netanyahu and his party\u2019s\u00a0primary ploy ahead of the coming election. Netanyahu faces a serious legal battle,\u00a0and winning the election\u00a0extends far beyond politics for him. It is\u00a0an existential survival battle.\u00a0I believe Bibi\u00a0had\u00a0to choose\u00a0between war\u00a0with Iran and a Pfizer vaccine. He had good reason to assume that Pfizer is by far a better and more peaceful option.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu probably gathered\u00a0that a successful mass\u00a0vaccination campaign would secure his victory. This was indeed a reasonable consideration on his part, and it may prove to be correct. It is worth mentioning that not one of Netanyahu\u2019s political opponents on the\u00a0evaporating Israeli\u00a0Left or centre dare challenge Netanyahu\u2019s vaccine policy. More so, not one\u00a0Left-wing\u00a0institution in Israel\u00a0has stood\u00a0up\u00a0for the\u00a0many\u00a0Israelis reluctant\u00a0to be vaccinated (currently more than 50%). \u00a0Not\u00a0one politician\u00a0took their side and stood for their elementary rights.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile,\u00a0the government\u00a0is desperate to make sure that the entire nation is vaccinated. The government won\u2019t\u00a0hesitate to introduce\u00a0totalitarian measures.\u00a0\u00a0 The\u00a0Jerusalem post<\/a>\u00a0reported today\u00a0that \u201ca\u00a0green passport will be required to enter certain places and to participate in certain activities. Only\u00a0people who have been vaccinated\u00a0or have recovered from coronavirus will be eligible for one. As part of the program, registered gyms, theatres, hotels, concerts and synagogues will be able to operate starting next week.\u201d Israel already\u00a0signed agreements with\u00a0countries<\/a>\u00a0that will open their gates solely to the Israelis who carry green passport.<\/p>\n

One may wonder why the Israeli Government\u00a0is so obsessed with vaccinating the\u00a0entire population, including the\u00a0youth, army\u00a0and other segments that aren\u2019t\u00a0necessarily high-risk.\u00a0One possibility is that the Israeli government knows\u00a0by now the\u00a0real implications of the vaccine. Israel can\u2019t turn a blind eye to the 1300% rise of Covid-19 cases in new-borns.\u00a0They also can\u2019t ignore that the number of Covid-19 deaths since the vaccination campaign started equals that of IDF fatalities in the 1973 Yom Kippur War, a war the country is still traumatized by.<\/p>\n

It is possible that Israeli\u00a0leadership now\u00a0acknowledge the fatal mistake it has made distributing the vaccine widely. It may be plausible that the only solution they could come up\u00a0with is vaccinating the\u00a0entire population, hoping that this may provide\u00a0at least temporary protection,\u00a0which\u00a0may last until the March election date.<\/p>\n

If there is any validity in my dark depiction of the Israeli reality, it is reasonable to conclude that with Bibi at the helm and Pfizer with a needle, Israelis do not\u00a0really need enemies.<\/p>\n
