We\u2019ve seen and heard it all before, so by now some of us at least should have learned.<\/h4>\n

First they did it with Saddam Hussein\u2019s Weapons of Mass Destruction with wall-to-wall media coverage of the threat they posed. With speculative articles<\/a><\/span> about how quickly Saddam\u2019s weapons could be deployed and how destructive they might be, the stream of frightening reports went on and on.<\/h4>\n

Ultimately those reports, from some of the world\u2019s most \u2018respected\u2019 journalists, turned out to be utterly baseless. Although they did provide sufficient justification to invade Iraq, even though no WMD were ever found.<\/h4>\n

Now the MSM seems to be doing the same with Covid-19.<\/h4>\n

Call me a cynic but I remain entirely unconvinced by the corporate media\u2019s coverage. Some reports are just plain scare stories, no doubt intended to send us running off to the nearest vaccination centre. Like the following, which recounts how that old standby \u201cTerror\u201d has now been transformed into Covid-19 and how it can now be found in the eyes of patients afflicted with it.<\/h4>\n

Other reports rely on celebrity appeal to convey the message that Covid-19 vaccinations are necessary and desirable.<\/h4>\n

While others depend on the weight of scientific authority to make their point.<\/h4>\n

Jeremy Farrar: Until we are all safe, no one is safe. Covid is a global problem<\/h3>\n

Jeremy Farrar, head of the Wellcome Trust and one of the world\u2019s leading experts on infectious diseases, says that immunising a lot of people in a few countries while leaving the virus unchecked in large parts of the world would simply allow more variants to emerge in these places.<\/p>\n

You can see where this is all heading. Just as the scare stories about Saddam\u2019s WMD were used to foment fear and apprehension in the West, thereby paving the way for the Iraq invasion, so scare stories about Covid-19 are being used to make vaccinations against Covid-19 seem like a means of salvation.<\/h4>\n

However, as the Observer implies, to be successful the Covid-19 vaccinations will have to be universal. So the vaccinations will either have to be made mandatory, or those who refuse them will have to be heavily penalised. Thereby ensuring that everyone is vaccinated, without exception.<\/h4>\n

Leaving those who adamantly refuse the vaccine living under virtual house arrest.<\/h4>\n

This is in fact already starting. Some firms have already introduced \u2018no jab, no job\u2019<\/span> contracts<\/a> and other will no doubt follow. Meaning that if you want to work, or indeed travel, or even go out for a meal, you will soon have to be vaccinated against Covid-19.<\/h4>\n

All of this is part of an ongoing drive to convince us to comply. The big question is, how successful will it be?<\/h4>\n

Will the population, at least in the English-speaking world, rush off en-masse to be vaccinated against Covid-19? Or will there be, as I suspect, a significant minority<\/span><\/a> who remain sceptical about the claimed \u201cbenefits\u201d and refuse vaccination?<\/h4>\n

We will know soon enough.<\/h4>\n

Finally, I\u2019m not going to speculate at length about the severity of the threat posed by Covid-19. Although the very old, or those with pre-existing conditions do seem vulnerable, for most the impact seems little worse than seasonal flu.<\/h4>\n

However, the fact that the powers that be are employing such methods to rush through a program of mass vaccination, for a vaccine that has never been tested on humans<\/span><\/a> before and that could potentially alter our DNA<\/span><\/a>, should make any rational person suspicious.<\/h4>\n

I saw some grafitti in Edinburgh the other day that summed this all up. So there is a growing sense of apprehension at grass-roots level:<\/h4>\n
