Americans, Canadians, Britons and Dutch sitting at home under harsh Covid-19 lockdowns can feel joy that their governments found time and money to help \u2018Al-Qaeda\u2019s medical service\u2019 in Syria make masks and gowns for terrorists.<\/p>\n

The \u2018White Helmets\u2019 are depicted in the West as the noble, selfless and brave humanitarian workers saving lives of innocent civilians in areas of Syria held by \u201cmoderate rebels\u201d<\/em> against the evil dictator Bashar Assad.<\/p>\n

In reality, documented by independent journalists and civilians liberated from their tender mercies, they are a Western-funded PR operation that specializes in staging incidents on behalf of their militant allies, such as the Army of Islam or the much-rebranded Al-Qaeda affiliate<\/a> currently known as Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).<\/p>\n

You wouldn\u2019t know any of that from the latest saccharine public-relations job in the Guardian, which basically printed \u2018White Helmets\u2019 propaganda disguised as a news report about how the group is \u201csaving lives\u201d<\/em> by manufacturing more than two million masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) against the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

In the Guardian\u2019s telling, Syria\u2019s jihadist-infested Idlib province becomes \u201careas of the country outside Bashar al-Assad\u2019s control\u201d<\/em> and everyone there is a \u201cvulnerable population of more than 3 million.\u201d<\/em> These people are supposedly aided and protected by the noble \u2018civil defence,\u2019 with the generous help of a Western \u201cnonprofit\u201d<\/em> called Creating Hope in Conflict: a Humanitarian Grand Challenge.<\/p>\n

Behind this fluffy brand<\/a>, no doubt focus-grouped to death by marketing consultants across the Anglosphere, is a \u201cpartnership\u201d<\/em> of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the British, Dutch and Canadian ministries charged with foreign aid.<\/p>\n

In other words, while these four governments are imposing draconian lockdowns and wrecking their citizens\u2019 livelihoods in the name of fighting Covid-19, they\u2019ve happily found \u00a3920,000 ($1.26 million or so) to fund a terrorist PR group in Syria.<\/p>\n

This shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise to Americans, at least, as the most recent act of Congress gave them only a single $600 payment apiece after nine months of lockdowns \u2013 while earmarking $600 million for \u201cdemocracy promotion\u201d<\/em> aimed at Russia and China, for instance<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Never mind that the US and its British, Dutch and Canadian allies have ostensibly been fighting a \u201cwar on terror\u201d<\/em> against Al-Qaeda since 9\/11\/2001, occupying Afghanistan and invading Iraq on that pretext, killing hundreds of thousands in the process. When it comes to bringing \u201cdemocracy\u201d<\/em> to places like Libya and Syria, Al-Qaeda and other Islamist militants suddenly become \u201cmoderate rebels\u201d<\/em> more worthy of money than the struggling American, Canadian, British and Dutch taxpayers.<\/p>\n

Nor are you allowed to notice that the \u2018White Helmets\u2019 have been accused of embezzling<\/a> Western aid, because what are you, an \u201cAssadist\u201d<\/em>? Anyone who criticized the group gets demonized by the BBC<\/a> and other mainstream Western outlets, you see.<\/p>\n

One can\u2019t even quote French President Emmanuel Macron, who accused<\/a> the \u201cmoderate\u201d<\/em> militants of Idlib of acting as \u201cdogs of war\u201d<\/em> for their main sponsor, Turkey, in places like Libya and the recent conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n

No, you should be delighted that your money is going to the heroic \u201crescuers\u201d<\/em> of moderate Syria, who are totally not enabling terrorists. These noble souls will in no way use the funding or the equipment to stage yet another false flag<\/a>\u201cchemical attack\u201d<\/em> so their sponsors could launch some more \u201chumanitarian\u201d<\/em> missiles \u2013 that never ever hit civilians \u2013 while the mainstream media in the West gushes over the \u201cbeauty of our weapons\u201d<\/em> again.<\/p>\n
