{"id":225507,"date":"2021-01-17T10:50:21","date_gmt":"2021-01-17T10:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=225507"},"modified":"2021-01-20T05:01:19","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T05:01:19","slug":"care-homes-take-legal-advice-over-whether-they-can-force-reluctant-staff-to-have-covid-vaccinations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=225507","title":{"rendered":"Care homes take legal advice over whether they can force reluctant staff to have Covid vaccinations"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Isabella Nikolic \u2013 Daily Mail 17, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Care homes are taking legal advice over whether they can force reluctant staff to have Covid vaccinations after up to 120,000 refused.<\/p>\n<p>The National Care Association sought legal advice as up to eight per cent of the 1.5million social care workers in England have turned down the jab.<\/p>\n<p>It comes as the UK recorded another 1,295 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/coronavirus\/index.html\"><strong>coronavirus<\/strong><\/a> deaths and 41,346 new cases on Saturday &#8211; as fatalities continue to rise by more than 1,000 for the fifth day in a row.<\/p>\n<p>A poll revealed that just 41 per cent of 18-34-year-olds said they will &#8216;definitely&#8217; accept the vaccine, according to research done by Focaldata and seen by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/care-homes-consider-legal-challenge-to-force-their-workers-to-take-vaccine-0rwr2l2tb\"><strong>Sunday Times<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Young people are less likely to say they will definitely get the jab (36 per cent of 18-24-year-olds).<\/p>\n<p>And ethnic minorities are even less likely than young people as just a third (33 per cent) said they would certainly get the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>People in Greater London are most reluctant to have the jab as just 41 per cent said they would definitely get it.<\/p>\n<p>And people in Scotland are most willing to get it with 78 per cent saying they would accept the vaccine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9156501\/Care-homes-legal-advice-force-reluctant-staff-Covid-jabs.html\">Continues \u2026<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Less than half of UK Care Homes staff aged 18 to 34 say they will willingly accept a Covid vaccination.
