Last month Twitter began curbing President Trump’s tweets after he made claims of fraudulent procedures in the U.S. election. Now the social media giant has pledged to remove all posts that contain “misleading” information about the Covid-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n

How exactly you define \u201cmisleading\u201d when the vaccine is still experimental and has not been fully certified is open to question?<\/p>\n

In reality, Twitter’s crackdown is aimed at any posts that differ from the official line. Particularly if they raise legitimate questions about a vaccine that has not been fully tested on humans yet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It may also be more than a coincidence that Twitter’s announcement followed a series of reports in the MSM that seemingly sought to calm fears about the Covid-19 vaccine. The BBC published an article<\/a> that purportedly \u201cdebunked\u201d conspiracy theories about the vaccine. While NBC argued<\/a> that we shouldn’t sceptical about a vaccine that is currently being rushed through development.<\/p>\n

In other words the MSM is engaged in a campaign to calm public concern over the vaccine. Whether that concern is justified is unknown but the fact that the MSM and now social media are trying to calm public concern should in itself make us suspicious.<\/p>\n

COVID-19: Twitter vows to censor ‘misleading’ tweets about vaccines<\/h1>\n

Twitter has announced a crackdown on anyone posting “misleading” information about COVID-19 vaccinations.<\/p>\n

From next week, the social media platform will prioritise removing the “most harmful of misleading information”.<\/p>\n

And in the coming weeks it will also start to label all tweets thought to be providing bogus information about the vital shots.<\/p>\n

The company said it was totally focused on ridding its platform of false and ambiguous statements surrounding the vaccine since it believed fake information presented the “biggest potential harm to people’s health and wellbeing”.<\/p>\n

A statement said: “In the context of a global pandemic, vaccine misinformation presents a significant and growing public health challenge – and we all have a role to play.<\/p>\n

“We are focused on mitigating misleading information that presents the biggest potential harm to people’s health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n

“Twitter has an important role to play as a place for good faith public debate and discussion around these critical public health matters.”<\/p>\n

Last month the social media giant began moderating tweets from US president Donald Trump<\/a><\/strong> in which he claimed there had been fraud in the American election process.<\/p>\n
