Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BleacherReport\/status\/1336411605458968583?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Ex-footballer John Barnes, who is black, underscored the ludicrous nature of the incident in a series of tweets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they are the ONLY white person in a room or group\u2026 THEY ARE\u2026 how else would YOU describe the ONLY white person or BLACK person in a group?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>Barnes added: \u201c[Demba] Ba said if he was white u wouldnt say white guy\u2026 but if there were 5 black coaches and 1 white coach .. he would have said \u201cthe white one\u201d\u2026 what else could or should he say?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The players walked off the pitch in response to the incident and the match was suspended.<\/p>\n<p>An immediate media uproar followed, with outlets like the BBC praising the players for their vehement stand against racism, without actually explaining what \u2018racism\u2019 had occurred (none whatsoever).<\/p>\n<p>Coltescu has been handed a ten match ban, despite him protesting, \u201cAnyone who knows me knows that I\u2019m not racist!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The next night before the game was replayed, players wore \u201cno to racism\u201d t-shirts and took a knee before kick-off.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir take a knee ahead of today&#39;s match<\/p>\n<p>The two teams are resuming play after walking off the field yesterday to protest alleged racial abuse by the fourth official<\/p>\n<p>(via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/UCLonCBSSports?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@UCLonCBSSports<\/a>)<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/LU9lqWotvp\">pic.twitter.com\/LU9lqWotvp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash;
