Russian state media voiced support for President Trump’s view that the Nov. 3 presidential vote was marred with irregularities, as President Vladimir Putin, like the leaders of China, Brazil and a handful of other countries , remained silent about Joe Biden’s victory in last week’s election.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is waiting for the official results of the US presidential election to be announced before congratulating the winner, a Kremlin spokesperson said Monday.

Joe Biden was widely declared to have been elected as US president over the weekend but his victory has been disputed by incumbent Donald Trump

Trump is launching legal challenges against the results in several key battleground states, after making unsubstantiated claims of electoral fraud.

Comment – Nov 11, 2020

Neither Putin nor China’s President Xi Jinping have congratulated Biden yet because he has not been officially declared the winner. Only the media has hailed Joe Biden as the victor in the 2020 presidential race, not the relevant state and judicial authorities.

However one views Trump, the western mainstream has been deeply involved in what amounts to an electoral coup against the president. As a result the media has pointedly ignored numerous and growing reports of electoral malpractice.

Instead, it has rushed to pronounce Biden as president elect despite many reports that suggest Biden and his backers are in the process of stealing the election. Ed.
