A survey released by the Pew Research Center this week found that support for the Black Lives Matter movement has dropped double digits since June.<\/span><\/p>\n

No doubt the violent protests that have swept through the nation over the summer have something to do with it.<\/span><\/p>\n

A slight majority of Americans,\u00a055 percent<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, still say they have at least some support for the cause, but that\u2019s down from\u00a067 percent<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in June, in the aftermath of the death of\u00a0George Floyd.<\/span><\/p>\n

The percentage of those who strongly support BLM has dropped by nearly 10 points, from 38 percent to 29 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n

When it came to ethnic groups, the steepest decline in support for the movement was seen among white people.<\/span><\/p>\n

In June, a majority of white people, 60 percent, backed BLM, but that number has dropped to 45 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n
