Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">An Antifa gunman who admitted to shooting dead a supporter of the right-wing group Patriot Prayer in Portland, Oregon, has been killed by U.S. Marshals in a shoot-out as officers tried to arrest him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Michael Reinoehl, 48, was killed on Thursday as a federal task force attempted to apprehend him in Lacey, Washington, a senior Justice Department official said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Reinoehl was the prime suspect in the killing of Aaron &#8216;Jay&#8217; Danielson, 39, who was shot in the chest after clashes between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters broke out on Saturday night, the official said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Federal agents from the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service located Reinoehl outside an apartment complex after a warrant was issued for his arrest and attempted to &#8216;peacefully arrest him,&#8217; officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Why aren\u2019t the Portland Police ARRESTING the cold blooded killer of Aaron \u201cJay\u201d Danielson. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1301726907298385921?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">During the encounter, Reinoehl pulled out a gun, &#8216;threatening the lives of law enforcement officers.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8216;Task force members responded to the threat and struck the suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene,&#8217; authorities said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Witnesses Chad Smith and Chase Cutler, who said they were just 150ft away from the gunman, told the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theolympian.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article245485220.html?fbclid=IwAR1gJsTR4pb5WVs2dGmvMASack82XXk6NIOJceOhod9xsPPE_8cqFELIEKw\"><strong>Olympian<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0they saw a man open fire and heard 40 or 50 shots from what they believe was a semi-automatic rifle before officers returned fire and shot him dead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">But authorities are yet to confirm whether Reinoehl fired the weapon.<\/span><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3-3vN5lAav8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n&#8212;<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task forces, comprised of deputy marshals, other federal agents and local law enforcement officers from a variety of agencies, are responsible for apprehending violent felons and other wanted suspects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Local officials confirmed that Reinoehl was killed at around 7pm on Thursday in the 7600 block of 3rd Way Southeast in Tanglewilde, a small community outside of Lacey about 55 miles southwest of Seattle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">A fugitive apprehension team was in the area looking for a wanted homicide suspect when they saw the suspect, who appeared to be armed, coming out of an apartment to a vehicle, Thurston County Sheriff&#8217;s Lt Ray Brady told <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theolympian.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article245485220.html\"><strong>The Olympian<\/strong><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The events that followed however, remain unclear as of Friday morning as officials have not specified details that led up to the shooting or have confirmed who fired first.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Pierce County sheriff&#8217;s spokesman Ed Troyer told the publication officers had &#8216;attempted to put him into custody and shots were fired.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">According to Brady, law enforcement officers had fired shots into the vehicle and Reinoehl ran from the car and pulled out a weapon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Officers then fired more shots, he told the news outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Witnesses said they saw the man get out of the car and fire &#8217;40 to 50 shots&#8217; at law enforcement before he was shot dead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Cutler said the scene reminded him of &#8216;a video game.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Investigators haven&#8217;t yet determined how many rounds were fired, Brady said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">He said Reinoehl was alone at the time of the shooting, with no children or other people present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Brady said he doesn&#8217;t think the suspect lived at the address where he was shot, and it&#8217;s not clear what brought him to Lacey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8216;We don&#8217;t know that specifically yet,&#8217; Brady said. &#8216;I do not believe that was his residence.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Police would not immediately confirm whether Reinoehl had fired his weapon, but said that no officers were injured in the confrontation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">A Facebook Live video posted by witness Jashon Spencer and seen by The Olympian, appeared to show Reinoehl lying on the ground after the shoot out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8216;I was sitting in my backyard and all I heard was pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. \u2026 I come outside and there&#8217;s a million sheriffs out here, and there\u2019s a dude laying out here by the mailbox and he&#8217;s bleeding. They hit him,&#8217; Spencer says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8216;You see all of those yellow markings. They&#8217;re bullets.
