{"id":212242,"date":"2020-08-20T06:37:47","date_gmt":"2020-08-20T06:37:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=212242"},"modified":"2020-08-22T05:51:48","modified_gmt":"2020-08-22T05:51:48","slug":"uk-police-reject-job-applications-from-candidate-who-says-biological-gender-cannot-be-changed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=212242","title":{"rendered":"UK Police Reject Job Applications From Candidate Who Says Biological Gender Cannot Be Changed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Steve Watson \u2013 Prison Planet Aug 17, 2020<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>Police forces in the UK have been criticised after they rejected an application in which the candidate admitted they do not believe human beings can biologically alter their gender.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2020\/08\/15\/british-police-forces-not-welcoming-gender-critical-job-applications\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The London Telegraph reports<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that a woman who applied for a job at Norfolk Constabulary was refused on the grounds of her \u201cgender critical\u201d opinions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The police force told her that her views would \u201cnot be something we could \u00aduphold within the constabulary\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The woman, who is already a police officer of 16 years, applied to a total of 26 forces elsewhere in the country and was rejected by over half of them for the same reason.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In her application, the officer asked if \u201cgender critical\u201d opinions would be \u201ca barrier to my application?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cI must point out that I am gender critical, which means that whilst I am firmly against abuse and discrimination to trans people, I do not believe you can change your biological sex,\u201d the officer explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Police in the South East, who already employ the woman, told her that her opinions do not meet \u201cthe behaviours expected\u201d of a member of the police force, and that she would likely fail a behavioural competency test.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Good news! You will no longer be sacked for believing sex exists!<\/p>\n<p>You won\u2019t get a job at all. <\/p>\n<p>British police forces not welcoming &#39;gender critical&#39; job applications&#39; | via <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Telegraph?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@telegraph<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FotFrXneIU\">https:\/\/t.co\/FotFrXneIU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; WeAreFairCop (@WeAreFairCop) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WeAreFairCop\/status\/1294759244655468544?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The officer responded to the force, noting \u201cI\u2019m monumentally outraged that you couldn\u2019t get a job doing what I do, and that my own job is in danger, \u00adbecause of what I believe \u2013 which is a belief that I think most people in this country hold.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cMy views on this topic do not mean I would act with intolerance or abuse, just as an atheist would be no less likely to be able to be respectful towards a person of religion,\u201d the woman further explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cIf there were serving officers with these views (as I know that there are), would their \u00ademployment be under threat?\u201d she also asked her employer, prompting them to ask her to provide \u201cdetails and any evidence\u201d of other officers who hold the same views so they can be \u201cinvestigated\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">After the police forces were accused of overstepping their authority by \u2018deciding which views are acceptable and which views are not,\u2019 a spokesman for Norfolk Police responded, saying that \u201cour objective as a police force is to always ensure our officers and staff continue to police in a way that builds trust and confidence by providing a service that is inclusive and unbiased for all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The \u00adNational Police Chiefs\u2019 Council, Chief Constable Ian Hopkins, added that \u201cThe entire police service is bound by and must \u00adadhere to the Equality Act and the \u00adpolice Code of Ethics.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">It seems that the police \u2018Code of Ethics\u2019 in the UK doesn\u2019t take into account to scientific fact, women\u2019s safety, or freedom of opinion.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sex is a provable characteristic.  Gender identity is not.  To acknowledge sex as a immutable characteristic is not a belief but a fact.  What&#39;s wrong with UK cops?
