{"id":210176,"date":"2020-07-11T06:59:11","date_gmt":"2020-07-11T06:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=210176"},"modified":"2020-07-13T06:18:16","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T06:18:16","slug":"us-convoy-forced-to-move-back-by-syrian-army-in-hasakah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=210176","title":{"rendered":"US convoy forced to move back by Syrian army in Hasakah"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Press TV \u2013 July 10, 2020<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/A-convoy-of-US-armourded-vehicles.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-197355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/A-convoy-of-US-armourded-vehicles.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/A-convoy-of-US-armourded-vehicles.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/A-convoy-of-US-armourded-vehicles-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>A US military convoy has been forced to retreat from an area in Syria\u2019s northeastern province of Hasakah when it was blocked at a checkpoint of the Syrian Arab Army.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cThe checkpoint personnel intercepted three armored vehicles of the American occupation in the village of Mansaf Tahtani in the countryside of Tell Tamr (in Hasakah) and forced them to return to their illegal bases,\u201d Syria\u2019s official news agency SANA<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/sana.sy\/en\/?p=196842\">reported<\/a><\/strong><\/span> on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The convoy was reportedly attempting to bypass the checkpoint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">No clashes were reported in the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Hasakah has hosted several scenes of US military convoys being forced to change route or retreat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">People in Hasakah blocked roads in a show of seething resentment over the presence of American troops in their region.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Late last month, another military convoy was forced to make a u-turn after a group of people blocked its road, preventing it from driving through their community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Residents of Khirbet Bunyan village, which lies in the Malikiyah district of the province, did not allow it to move and pelted it with stones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Since late October 2019, the United States has been redeploying troops to the oil fields controlled by Kurdish forces in eastern Syria, in a reversal of President Donald Trump\u2019s earlier order to withdraw all troops from the Arab country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The Pentagon claims the move aims to \u201cprotect\u201d the fields and facilities from possible attacks by the Daesh Takfiri terrorists.
