Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Tent cities are springing up around streets and parks in Washington D.C. amid concerns the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/coronavirus\/index.html\"><strong>coronavirus<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is making homeless people even more vulnerable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Images show makeshift encampments such as these that have sprung up on sidewalks, parks and close to office buildings amid the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The tents have sparked concerns that the streets could turn into\u00a0potential contagion zones due to vulnerable people living outdoors and in close proximity to one another.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">According to city data, 269 people in D.C. homeless shelters tested positive for Covid-19 as of May 13.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Coronavirus is also disproportionately causing fatalities among homeless people in the city.\u00a0Fifteen people in D.C.&#8217;s homeless system have died from the virus.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_207542\" style=\"width: 370px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/tent-city-Washington2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-207542\" class=\"wp-image-207542\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/tent-city-Washington2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/tent-city-Washington2.jpg 634w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/tent-city-Washington2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-207542\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Growing tent camps in Washington.
