They\u2019ll Look Like Prison Camps."},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Daisy Luther \u2013 The Organic Prepper May 6, 2020<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">If you\u2019ve been wondering what it will look like when the kids go back to school, one school in Quebec has released their new guidelines and they\u2019re shocking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Apparently, schools are going to look a lot like prison camps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">This is another example of how <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.com\/getting-back-to-normal\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>things will not just \u201cgo back to normal.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/a> Everything is changing, including life for our children.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Here are the guidelines one school has laid out.<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Schools in Quebec, Canada are reopening on May 19th and one school released its guidelines. This list was <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KateForEducation\/posts\/2935044969914980\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>submitted by a parent to the Facebook page, Kate for Education<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. The school was not named for the privacy of the parent. (All emphasis is mine.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Now if you\u2019re saying to yourself, \u201cThis is in Canada. There\u2019s no way this nonsense will happen here in America,\u201d I urge you to remember that the lockdown restrictions in Canada are far less stringent than those in the United States. Look around at the ridiculous rules we already have like <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.com\/lockdown-retailers-decide-items-essential\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>stores choosing what items are essential<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for us to buy. Then tell me \u201cIt can\u2019t happen here.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Here are those reopening guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">To minimize movement, we forecast assigning students to classes nearest the Berlin Street entrance (on all 3 floors if needed only);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Once assigned to a class, <strong>students will spend their entire day (including lunchtime) in their assigned seats<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Students must expect to be regrouped based on the number of students returning;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Students must not expect to return to their regular class with their classmates;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Your child may not be with the same teachers as before as several members of our staff will not be returning to school;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Teachers not returning to school will continue working and keeping close contact with students remotely from home as recommended by the government;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Activities completed while in school <strong>will not be evaluated or graded<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">No physical materials will be transported back and forth between home &amp; school;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Students must include a mini garbage and recycling bag with their lunch in order to collect their personal garbage and dispose of it at home;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">All students must bring in their personal, labeled, and filled water bottle as water fountains won\u2019t be available;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Sharing of ALL items (pencils, pens, sharpeners, wax crayons, rulers, toys) is not permitted;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">When weather permits, recess breaks will be held outdoors and will entail of <strong>walking outside safely distanced from one another in a prearranged pattern<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Gatherings (groups of students together) will not be permitted;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Limited travel throughout the school by all during the day;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>Bathroom visits will be monitored\/escorted<\/strong> so that proper disinfection by our caretakers can follow before another student uses the facilities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As per government recommendations, <strong>masks and gloves will not be provided<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Students are certainly welcomed to <strong>bring these items from home<\/strong>. They are also <strong>invited to carry their own personal disinfecting wipes<\/strong> with them if they wish;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Lockers will no longer be used. Students will place their spring\/summer jackets behind the chair they will be using &amp; their school bags under their assigned desks;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">There will be no cafeteria service or Home &amp; School pizza &amp; frozen yogurt days.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">There will be <strong>no physical activity taking place in the gym, no art classes (although art and craft projects can be promoted as home suggestions), no library periods, and no drama classes<\/strong>;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">No fundraisers or after school activities will take place;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Parent volunteers will not be permitted in school;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">We recommend your child brings a book or two of interest from home to read;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Students with fever or flu-like symptoms will be returned home.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_206857\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/kate-from-education-back-to-school-in-quebec.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-206857\" class=\"wp-image-206857\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/kate-from-education-back-to-school-in-quebec.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/kate-from-education-back-to-school-in-quebec.jpg 828w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/kate-from-education-back-to-school-in-quebec-259x300.jpg 259w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/kate-from-education-back-to-school-in-quebec-768x890.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-206857\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">What.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Hell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Lest it sound as though this is a total outlier, <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=1568895466610410&amp;id=131360617030576&amp;hc_location=ufi\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>here is the guidance from another school<\/strong><\/span><\/a> \u2013 it\u2019s similar but not quite as harsh. And<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cqsb.qc.ca\/documents\/3529937\/11233902\/ANG20200428_D-0427_LM-Parents.pdf\/fbcd758d-b719-4e4c-adc5-b5e457c0c72a\"> here are documents from the Minister of Education<\/a><\/strong><\/span> outlining the guidelines to be followed by the schools.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">And did you notice there are quite a few inconsistencies? Kids can\u2019t take <em>anything<\/em> back and forth from school. You know, except for their lunches, their garbage, their water, their PPE, and some books to read. That stuff doesn\u2019t count as gong back and forth and clearly, is germ-free.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">This sounds more like a prison for dangerous offenders than a nurturing place for children to learn and grow. And to think, <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.com\/harvard-professor-homeschooling-banned\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Harvard is worried that <em>homeschool kids<\/em> are isolated and poorly socialized<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">It\u2019s important to note that returning is not mandatory for the rest of this school year. Teachers will still be available for online learning if parents wish to keep their children home.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">I simply cannot fathom treating children in this way. If a home school parent had similar rules for their children, Family Services would immediately be at their door for the radical mistreatment of their offspring. The fact that the government can not just allow but order the public school system to abide by guidelines is utter madness. This is not right and it is not healthy, mentally, physically, or psychologically.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">This setting seems like it would be psychologically damaging.<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Imagine the culture of fear this creates for children. When you drum into a child the constant worry that others might be infectious, how do you expect that child to learn to communicate with others, make friends, and enjoy learning? This is how you make children afraid of human contact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Active children will be miserable. If you think the number of diagnoses for ADHD and similar behavioral issues is high now, just wait until energetic 7-year-olds are forced to sit in the same chair all day and then walk in a properly distanced around a playground, past all the fun stuff like swings and slides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">If their work isn\u2019t even graded or evaluated, what could possibly be the point of returning to school?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">I guess there\u2019s one point.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">If you want a population of worker bees who will quietly submit to authority and distance themselves completely from the influence of others, this is how you produce that population. You drum into them that they can\u2019t even choose when to go to the bathroom, that they can\u2019t congregate with others, and that they must remain seated with their hands strictly kept to themselves at all times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">I wonder if the monitoring of the bathroom will be similar to <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.com\/bathroom-big-brother-schools-are-using-an-app-to-track-students-restroom-time\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>what was discussed in this articl<\/strong><\/span>e<\/a> or if somebody will actually go with them. And if so, isn\u2019t an adult being alone in the bathroom with a child pretty inappropriate?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">You teach them that every single moment is structured and supervised. You teach them to walk only in orderly formation \u2013 no skipping, no running, no playing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">And just think, all this time public school parents were worried about homeschooled kids not being properly \u201csocialized\u201d with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Would you ever allow your child to be subjected to these conditions?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">We don\u2019t know exactly what the conditions will be like when kids return to school in the United States, but it wouldn\u2019t be a stretch of the imagination to expect something similar to this, particularly in harder-hit regions of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">I wouldn\u2019t subject my kids to this horrible setting for any reason. I\u2019ve always tried to be open-minded regarding the homeschooling vs. public schooling debate \u2013 one of my kids graduated from a public high school and the other was homeschooled. But I urge any parent who is able to stay home<em>\u00a0not<\/em> to send their children back to school if it\u2019s going to be more like a prison camp. Continue if you can at all to <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theorganicprepper.com\/a-homeschooling-guide-for-public-schoolers\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>educate them at home<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and let them play outside, paint beautiful pictures, and do science projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Let them be children, for crying out loud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Would you send your kids back to school if school looked like the guide above?
