A man who boasted that he spent two hours walking through his local hospital to see how bad things were for himself has been jailed for three months. Kierran Stevenson, 32, bragged about his exploits at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, on Facebook and was caught on CCTV as he made his way through public areas.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said he went \u2018up and down\u2019 in lifts but was disappointed not to see staff in hazmat suits or PPE as he visited \u2018every corner\u2019 of the hospital, but confirmed that Costa was open.<\/span><\/p>\n

He shared photos on Facebook of himself at the hospital and images of the corridors as he claimed that staff were not taking safety measures seriously, the Crown Prosecution Service said.<\/span><\/p>\n

In one post, he wrote that he was going to Asda in Stoke Mandeville before a walk around the hospital, saying: \u2018Time to have a look with my own eyes!\u2019 Stevenson admitted causing a public nuisance and breaking emergency movement restrictions.<\/span><\/p>\n

As well as being jailed for the offence, he was also ordered to pay \u00a3300 compensation to the hospital trust. Chief crown prosecutor Jaswant Narwal said: \u2018Despite there being clear warnings about entering the hospital, Stevenson walked around the building, speaking with staff and breaching social distancing guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n
