Former coronavirus patient <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a>Jerri Jorgensen said Friday that the hysteria surrounding the coronavirus<\/a><\/strong><\/span> has \u201cgotten out of control,\u201d recalling when she was barred from a gym after undergoing quarantine.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u201cAll the toilet paper being gone — I don\u2019t get the toilet paper,\u201d Jorgensen told \u201cFox & Friends<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Jorgensen said that when she went to a gym after her recovery, she was bombarded with hugs from friends and also from strangers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jorgensen said that afterward when she got home, the gym\u2019s management called her to tell her to stay away to keep the \u201csenior citizens\u201d safe.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI go, \u2018I am a senior citizen! Wait, what about me?’\u201d Jorgensen said. \u201cAnd I am the safest one in the gym, probably the safest one in Utah because I\u2019ve been through quarantine and tested more than once negative.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I have a letter from the Centers for Disease Control so it is what it is,\u201d she added<\/span><\/p>\n

Jorgensen — who contracted the virus onboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan — said she exhibited zero symptoms when she was diagnosed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy case was I had a slight fever the night before they took me off the cruise ship — very slight, it wasn\u2019t even 100 degrees,” Jorgensen told \u201cFox & Friends. “Felt a little bit off for about two\u00a0to three\u00a0hours and that was my only symptom throughout the whole time — the whole quarantine up to now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Jorgensen was being treated and monitored by the doctors on the ship, she never had to take any medications while aboard the Diamond Princess.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jorgensen described her experience in quarantine at a hospital very positive. She said that those who are staying in their houses for safety should\u00a0keep doing \u201cthings that you love,\u201d such as reading and exercising.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was quarantined in a hospital and they didn\u2019t have a lot for me, especially those that don\u2019t speak English,\u201d Jorgensen said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI did get a yoga mat,” she said, “and it\u2019s so important to stay active.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
