Click to enlarge<\/p><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>The Tempest stealth aircraft is being designed to replace long-serving Typhoon<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>The hypersonic \u00a3100million aircraft will be able to fly at more than Mach 5<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>The aircraft will be able to fly unmanned and feature high-tech weaponry<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The RAF is planning a fighter jet that can fly at more than 4,000mph and be controlled by virtual reality helmet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The \u00a3100million Tempest stealth aircraft is being designed to replace the Royal Air Force&#8217;s long-serving Typhoon, and will enter service in 2035.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The hypersonic aircraft will be able to fly at more than Mach 5, three times as fast as existing aircraft, as reported by the <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/news\/latest-news\/raf-plans-worlds-first-hypersonic-21310058\"><strong>Daily Star<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The defence companies behind it \u2013 BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Leonardo&#8217;s UK arm and MBDA \u2013 are due to present further proposals to ministers at the end of 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">BAE Systems&#8217; Jean Page told the newspaper: &#8216;We are looking at what we are calling a wearable cockpit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">&#8216;You remove many of the physical elements of the cockpit, and replace it with a virtual display, projected through the helmet.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The sixth-generation craft &#8211;
