A picture of the document started to circulate between members of the community because of a misunderstanding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">\u201cUpon further investigation we have determined conclusively that the offensive antisemitic flyer with swastikas and holocaust denial language is a historical document, which was being used by a member of the Jewish community who was studying the history of antisemitism and Holocaust denial. Another member of the Jewish community saw the document and mistakenly sent it on to others thinking it was linked to the distribution of the anti-Muslim flyer (determined to be a legitimate Islamophobic incident), upon which the story regrettably took on a life of its own,\u201d Dov Wilker, regional director of the American Jewish Committee, said in a statement on Tuesday, as quoted by the Atlanta Jewish News<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">A previous report stated that the flyers were discovered in the Toco Hills neighborhood of DeKalb County earlier this month, but first reported on Monday in the wake of the attack on a rabbi\u2019s home in Monsey, New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The flyer was described as bordered by swastikas, calling the Holocaust as a \u201cJew lie\u201d and including an illustration of a large-nosed rat wearing a kippah with a Star of David on its body.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><em>JTA contributed to this report.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/Diaspora\/Antisemitism\/Antisemitic-flyers-spread-through-heavily-Jewish-Georgia-county-612729\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anti-Semitic flyers \u201cmistakenly\u201d distributed by a member of the Jewish community.
