Four Days before polling day the Simon Wiesenthal Centre was widely reported in the British mass media as attacking Jeremy Corbyn for \u2018antisemitism\u2019. \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">Jeremy Corbyn is the biggest global threat to Jews, warns Simon Wiesenthal Centre &#8211; the world<\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">&#8216;<\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">s leading Nazi-hunting organisation &#8211; as Boris Johnson urges voters to save Britain from a <\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">&#8216;<\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">nightmare<\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7767789\/Jeremy-Corbyn-biggest-global-threat-Jews-warns-worlds-leading-Nazi-hunting-organisation.html\">&#8216;<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u201d wrote The Mail on Sunday, adding bullet points:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>Anti-Nazi hunting organisation says Corbyn is the worst antisemite on the planet<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>The Simon Wiesenthal Centre says Corbyn would turn Britain into a &#8216;pariah state&#8217;<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>PM says Corbyn\u2019s immigration policy would \u2018put even more pressure on the NHS\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Earlier the UK\u2019s Chief Rabbi weighed in with a strong attack on Labour Party leader, also denouncing Jeremy Corbyn for \u2018antisemitism\u2019. Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis had written an article in The Times headed \u2018<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/ephraim-mirvis-what-will-become-of-jews-in-britain-if-labour-forms-the-next-government-ghpsdbljk\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>What will become of Jews in Britain if Labour forms the next government?<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2019. The text began:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Elections should be a celebration of democracy. However, just weeks before we go to the polls, the overwhelming majority of British Jews are gripped by anxiety. During the past few years, on my travels through the UK and further afield, one concern has been expressed to me more than any other. Of course, the threats of the far right and violent jihadism never go away, but the question I am now most frequently asked is: What will become of Jews and Judaism in Britain if the Labour Party forms the next government? This anxiety is justified. Raising concerns about anti-Jewish racism in the context of a general election ranks among the most painful moments I have experienced &#8230;\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Anti-Jewish racism? It was a Jew who first pointed out to me that Jews are not a race, and that that terminology comes from the Nazis. Actually, it\u2019s older than the Nazis, but the point was still valid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">I tried to register with The Times in order to read on, but none of my three email addresses was accepted. The Evening Standard reported on this under the heading: \u2018Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis warns Jeremy Corbyn&#8217;s handling of anti-Semitism makes him unfit for high office\u2019, and quoted from the article: &#8220;Jewish community has watched with incredulity as supporters of the Labour leadership have hounded parliamentarians, members and even staff out of the party for challenging anti-Jewish racism&#8221;. Oh really? Not the other way round?(!) This became the lead story in that evening\u2019s BBC flagship news analysis television programme. They interviewed the pro-Zionist Jewish Labour Movement, but not their rival group, Jewish Voice for Labour, which supports Jeremy Corbyn. and this was written up on the <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/election-2019-50552068\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>BBC News website<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"story-body__h1\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">General election 2019: Chief rabbi attacks Labour anti-Semitism record<\/h1>\n<div id=\"attachment_199222\" style=\"width: 550px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-199222\" class=\"wp-image-199222\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Cheif-rabbi-attacks-Labour.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Cheif-rabbi-attacks-Labour.jpg 660w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Cheif-rabbi-attacks-Labour-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-199222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The chief rabbi has strongly criticised Labour, claiming the party is not doing enough to root out anti-Jewish racism &#8211; and asked people to &#8220;vote with their conscience&#8221; in the general election. In the Times, Ephraim Mirvis said &#8220;a new poison &#8211; sanctioned from the very top &#8211; has taken root&#8221; in the party.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The Chief Rabbi of Britain and the Empire is \u201c<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/United_Synagogue\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>a title that bears some formal recognition by the Crown, even though his rabbinical authority is recognised by only slightly more than half of British Jews<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/span>, states Wikipedia. I checked the numbers out with the reference provided, which was a report by the The Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Institute for Jewish Policy Research titled \u2018<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.webcitation.org\/60Mnkiz1A?url=http:\/\/www.jpr.org.uk\/downloads\/Synagogue%20membership.pdf\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Synagogue membership in the United Kingdom in 2010<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2019. I concluded that was a gross exaggeration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The Chief Rabbi is the rabbi of the United Synagogue, which states: \u201c<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theus.org.uk\/aboutus\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>The US has a Zionist commitment to strengthening its members<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theus.org.uk\/aboutus\">&#8216;<\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theus.org.uk\/aboutus\"> bond with the land and state of Israel; a central feature in our beliefs and prayers<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u201d, and so this confirms that the United Synagogue is a political organisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">There\u2019s been a lot of criticism of the Chief Rabbi in the alternative media. This was summed up quite well by Stuart Littlewood, writing in Redress, in an article headed \u2018<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.redressonline.com\/2019\/12\/uk-chief-rabbis-pious-bid-to-sabotage-corbyn-but-what-of-his-own-record-on-fighting-racism\">UK Chief Rabbi\u2019s pious bid to sabotage Corbyn. But what of his own record on fighting racism?<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u2019. He also reported that when the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, tweeted his approval a leading campaigner against racism immediately resigned from a Church of England advisory body in protest. Gus John wrote to the Church of England\u2019s national adviser on minority ethnic issues: \u201cThose who occupy houses clad with stained glass should perhaps be a trifle more careful when they join others in throwing stones\u201d, the article reports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-199223 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/UK-Chief-Rabbi-Mirvis-with-PM-Johnson.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"440\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/UK-Chief-Rabbi-Mirvis-with-PM-Johnson.jpg 440w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/UK-Chief-Rabbi-Mirvis-with-PM-Johnson-300x191.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Israeli Ambassador<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Since Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader of the Labour Party there has been a relentless campaign from within the party to unseat him. The head of the Herzlian party\u2019s headquarters in London was filmed by an undercover team from Al Jazeera, talking to his supporters at a Labour Party conference. Ambassador Mark Regev told them: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>\u201c<a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2017\/01\/lobby-episode-3-anti-semitic-trope-170112090717792.html\">We\u2019ve got to say in the language, I think, of social democracy, these people are mysogenistic, they are homophobic, they are racist, they are antisemitic, they are reactionary. I think that\u2019s what we need to say. It\u2019s an important message<\/a>\u201d<\/strong><\/span>. The television series showed how the Herzlians had been organising to undermine Jeremy Corbyn as the Labour Party leader, as well as a government minister who had been critical of Israel over Palestine. Britain\u2019s then Foreign Minister was Boris Johnson, who told the House of Commons that the Israeli ambassador had apologised, and so the matter was over.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Antisemitism in the Labour Party<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Theodore-Herzl.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-164571\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/Theodore-Herzl-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"203\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">One commentator shortly after the polling stations had closed on 12 December said that there had been two reasons for the exit polls to show a swing towards the Conservatives. One was over the issue of Brexit, and the other was that Jeremy Corbyn was \u201ctoxic\u201d. This was a measure of the success of the Herzlian party in its part in the UK\u2019s parliamentary General Election. Word had gone around that Jeremy Corbyn was \u2018antisemitic\u2019 or at least that he was allowing \u2018antisemitism\u2019 to thrive in his party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Yet there has indeed been \u2018antisemitism\u2019 in the parliamentary Labour Party. Jeremy Corbyn has not had a free hand in his leadership, but has been obliged to follow the decisions of his National Executive Committee. As a result he had become a spokesman rather than a leader. His opponents within the Labour Party were Herzlians, supporters of the Zionist aspirations which Theodor Herzl publicised. In his diaries, Theodor Herzl wrote of \u2018rich Jews\u2019 and \u2018poor Jews\u2019, and advocated the expulsion of \u2018poor Jews\u2019 from Russia and Germany, so that they would be channeled into Palestine, ready for the creation of a \u2018Jewish State\u2019. His complete diaries clearly show this, but they weren\u2019t published until 1960, and even then the publications were difficult to get hold of. Recently they have appeared on the Internet, and the case that Theodor Herzl was antisemitic was made out in the Unz Review in \u2018<a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.unz.com\/article\/uks-labour-antisemitism-split\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>UK\u2019s Labour Antisemitism Split: Just what the Doctor Prescribed<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2019. Theodor Herzl described his ideas as a \u201cmilitary campaign\u201d, and it seems that the Herzlians are following that philosophy to this day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">At the last count, the Parliamentary Labour Party included 80 members of the Herzlian party\u2019s Labour Friends of Israel, and the Parliamentary Conservative Party included 80% members of the Herzlian party\u2019s Conservative Friends of Israel. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is believed to be a member of the Conservative Friends of Israel, though he did on one occasion manage to criticise Israel\u2019s treatment of the Palestinians without being targeted, as another Conservative minister was, and as Jeremy Corbyn has been since he was elected leader of the Labour Party. That may be because he also lavished praise on Israel. I suspect that the Herzlian party would have preferred Michael Gove, who had previously blocked Boris Johnson in becoming Prime Minister, but they were more dedicated to blocking Jeremy Corbyn, who had been a vociferous long-term critic of Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Leading adherents of the Herzlian party must be aware of the policies of their founder, Theodor Herzl, and that his policies were extreme in their \u2018antisemitism\u2019. Thus the \u2018antisemites\u2019 in the Labour Party are the adherents of the Herzlian party, who simply project their own \u2018racism\u2019 onto their critics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The battleground has been in the Labour Party because in the party as a whole the Herzlians are outnumbered, and they were losing their hold on the Parliamentary Party. In the Conservative Party they hold a firm grip.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">With their campaigning against Jeremy Corbyn they succeeded in making his name \u2018toxic\u2019, thus helping to ensure a victory for the Conservative Party.
