It\u2019s the \u201cdarker side\u201d to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.<\/span><\/p>\n

During less than a year in office, the congresswoman from New York City has become a heroine to the left, with a public following that has enabled her to dictate policy priorities like the Green New Deal, which has become an article of faith among Democrats running for president.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday pointed out one aspect of\u00a0Ocasio-Cortez\u2019s beliefs<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0that have gotten little attention from the mainstream media:<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only did she make race a central issue in her 2018 primary campaign against then-Rep.\u00a0Joe Crowley<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0(\u201cIt is about race,\u201d she told\u00a0The Intercept<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0in an interview), she has continued to stress racial divisions among Americans, Carlson said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTalk like this,\u201d he said, \u201cwill destroy us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Carlson\u2019s monologue on AOC started with some unexpected praise for a woman who\u2019s politics are almost the opposite of the host\u2019s. He complimented her on having the obvious guts and intelligence it takes to become \u201cone of the most powerful politicians in America.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a reason she\u2019s famous, it\u2019s not just hype,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s impressive in a lot of ways, and even if you disagree with her, you ought to admit that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But there\u2019s a reason she should be infamous too (and it goes beyond being\u00a0personally unpleasant<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0to those who disagree with her).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s an unapologetic bigot, someone who attacks others for the way they were born,\u201d Carlson said. \u201cThere\u2019s nothing legitimate about that, you can\u2019t debate bigotry, it\u2019s pure poison.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Carlson especially focused on questions Ocasio-Cortez asked during a congressional hearing last week (about the 3:15 mark in the video above) that specifically blamed white people \u2013 not \u201cAmericans,\u201d not \u201cEuropeans,\u201d white people \u2014 for the carbon emissions that are condemned by believers in the\u00a0Church of Climate Change<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDo we see largely that it\u2019s the global south and communities of color that may be bearing the brunt of the initial havoc from climate change?\u201d AOC asked a sympathetic witness.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd in terms of that wealth, the people who are producing climate change, the folks that are responsible for the largest amount of emissions, or communities, or corporations, they tend to be predominantly white, correct?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The blatantly racist questions were largely ignored by the mainstream media, which just points up the double standard at play in American politics.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor all the hysteria you hear about how the president is a racist, Donald Trump has never said anything close to that. Nothing close to as bigoted and vicious as that,\u201d Carlson said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe people wrecking the world are all of one race? Who talks like that? In fact, it\u2019s hard to think of anyone in American life saying anything that disgusting and foolish and dangerous.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And there\u2019s a good reason for that.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an ominous development for this country. Talk like this will destroy us,\u201d Carlson said. \u201cIt has come close before, as you know.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He ended with a plea to AOC that shouldn\u2019t really have to be made to a member of Congress \u2014 not in the United States of the 21st century anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cKeep saying what you think is true. Keep taking jabs at the establishment in Washington,\u201d Carlson said. \u201cEven those of us who disagree with you will cheer you on.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut, my gosh, please, for the sake of the country and the children you don\u2019t yet have, please stop attacking people for the color of their skin. They can\u2019t change who they are, and neither can you.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe all have to live here together anyway. And we won\u2019t be able to if you keep this up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s not much of a chance the Democrat demagogue will listen, but Carlson can always say he took a shot.<\/span><\/p>\n

If Trump were to talk like this the media would be in uproar.
