When police refused to act, livid London commuters dragged an activist off the roof of a subway train he was holding up [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/news\/10153612\/extinction-rebellion-jubilee-line-tube\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">MIND THE SCRAP<\/span>,<\/a><\/em> by Holly Christodoulou, <em>The Sun, <\/em>October 17<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019,].<\/h5>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This morning, angry Londoners rebelled against the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ExtinctionR?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@ExtinctionR<\/a> climate change activists who shut down the Tube by climbing on top of a train and unfurling a banner that read: &quot;Business as usual = death.&quot; Watch as angry passengers drag them off. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ExtinctionRebellion?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ExtinctionRebellion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/kCg7JnkyF8\">pic.twitter.com\/kCg7JnkyF8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Andy Ng\u00f4 (@MrAndyNgo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MrAndyNgo\/status\/1184870542169346048?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 17, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h5>But what kind of people are behind this \u201crebellion?<\/h5>\n<h5>Extinction Rebellion, with <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/articles\/children-s-crusade-alien-kang-figures-out-the-greta-thunberg-cult\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Greta Thunberg<\/span><\/a> as its child Messiah , was established in the UK in May 2018 with 100 original signatories, in November 2018, its members closed down five key London bridges. The following April, they occupied five prominent central London sites, including Parliament Square, bringing the city to a standstill. Members also <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.vice.com\/en_us\/article\/a3bbag\/naked-protesters-showed-up-to-parliament-and-glued-their-bums-to-security-glass\">glued themselves to the viewing gallery<\/a><\/span> of the British parliament. But now the \u201crebellion\u201d has reached a whole new level of extremism.<\/h5>\n<h5>These \u201crebels\u201d\u2014motto: \u201cRebel for Life,\u201d because, they claim, based on falsified climate science data, that a \u201cmass extinction\u201d will begin in twelve years\u2014have vowed to continue their insurrection until their demands are met. But their de facto leader, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rogerhallam.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Roger Hallam<\/span><\/a> [<a href=\"mailto:roger.hallam.uk@gmail.com\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Email him<\/span><\/a>] has said that he wants to bring down Western governments and that he doesn\u2019t care if people die in the process [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/politics\/2019\/07\/16\/treat-extinction-rebellion-extremist-anarchist-group-former\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Treat Extinction Rebellion as an extremist group, former anti-terror chief tells police<\/span>,<\/a> <\/em>by Charles Hymas, <em>Telegraph, <\/em>July 16, 2019].<\/h5>\n<h5>But what of Hallam\u2019s lieutenants? One of Extinction Rebellion\u2019s most prominent spokespersons seems to strongly exemplify the type I have found to be championing the destruction of the West so many times before: exceptionally privileged, member of an ethnic minority, and <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/articles\/dr-jess-wade-another-minority-social-justice-warrior-pushing-science-into-new-dark-age\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">not entirely stable<\/span><\/a>. Her name: Dr Emily Grossman. You can see an interview with her here: <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/uk\/1189695\/Extinction-Rebellion-TalkRadio-Emily-Grossman-Dan-Wootton-climate-change-celebrities\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Radio host lays into Extinction Rebellion \u2018lunatics\u2019 &amp; \u2018champagne socialist\u2019 celebrities<\/span><\/a>, <\/em>by Naomi Adedokun, <em>Express, <\/em>October 11, 2019.<\/h5>\n<h5>Grossman\u2014who is 41, childless and has paid \u00a310,000 to freeze her eggs because she can\u2019t find a man she regards as quite good enough for her [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-4949662\/Single-38-year-old-pays-10-000-freeze-eggs.html\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Emily\u2019s a TV scientist with a double first from Cambridge. But, single at 38, she confesses I\u2019m paying \u00a310,000 to freeze my eggs<\/span>,<\/a><\/em> by Rebecca Hardy, <em>Mail Online, <\/em>October 4, 2017]\u2014has never had to struggle a day in her life. On her website, her various \u201ctestimonials\u201d include: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emilygrossman.co.uk\/testimonials-c144n\">\u201c<span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Emily is one of the most intelligent girls that I have been privileged to teach<\/span>\u201d<\/a> . \u201cPrivilege\u201d has always been important for Emily.<\/h5>\n<h5>She attended the prestigious, high fee-paying South Hampstead School, an all-girls school in North London, also attended by Dr. Jess Wade. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shhs.gdst.net\/news\/universityoffers\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">fifth<\/span><\/a> of the girls at this school go on to attend Oxford or Cambridge\u2014Britain\u2019s two most prestigious universities. With such a gilded start in life, it should be no surprise that Grossman went to Queen\u2019s College, Cambridge, where she studied Natural Sciences. Her paternal grandfather, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peterowen.com\/friedman\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Dr. Dennis Friedman<\/span><\/a> (1924-2014) was an \u201ceminent psychiatrist\u201d who studied medicine at the same college. It may well have helped that Emily\u2019s father, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtc.ox.ac.uk\/about\/fellows\/ashley-grossman\/%5d\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Ashley Grossman<\/span>,<\/a> is professor of endocrinology at Oxford University and a Cambridge graduate and that her mother, <a href=\"https:\/\/susangrossman.co.uk\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Susan Grossman<\/span><\/a>, is also an academic, lecturing in journalism.<\/h5>\n<h5>Emily Grossman went on to Manchester University to do a PhD in cancer research\u2014and then decided she wanted to become an actress. Naturally, her wealthy parents indulged her, sending her to Guilford School of Acting, no doubt at great expense. Grossman then dabbled in professional acting\u2014mainly theatre. Her doting parents, \u201ccame to every performance I was in, both as a student in Cambridge and Manchester, and also later on when I left drama school and became a professional actress for a time\u201d [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jewishtelegraph.com\/prof_416.html\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Dad Drove Me to a Career as a Scientist<\/span>,<\/a> <\/em>By Adam Cailler, <em>Jewish Telegraph, <\/em>2017]. In this area, it probably assisted Grossman that her maternal grandmother, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rosemaryfriedman.co.uk\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Rosemary Friedman<\/span>,<\/a> now 90 years-old, is a <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rosemary-Friedman\/e\/B001JOYL9W\/ref=dp_byline_cont_book_1\">novelist<\/a><\/span> and playwright, with many theatre contacts.<\/h5>\n<h5>Dramatic career changes tend to correlate with such traits an anxiety and mental instability [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1177\/1069072708329029\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Relation of Neuroticism and Negative Career Thoughts and Feelings to Lack of Information<\/span>,<\/a><\/em> by Kevin Kelly &amp; Yun\u2013Jeong Shin, <em>Journal of Career Assessment, <\/em>2008] as does being a professional actor [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/psycnet.apa.org\/record\/2006-01509-019\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Psychological profiles of professional actors<\/span>,<\/a><\/em> by Daniel Nettle, <em>Personality and Individual Differences, <\/em>2006].<\/h5>\n<h5>Grossman\u2019s parents had <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Emily_Grossman\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">divorced<\/span><\/a> when their then only child was four; being from a broken home (as also is SJW enforcer <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/articles\/ben-van-der-merwe-the-poignant-psychohistory-of-a-social-justice-warrior\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Ben Van der Merwe<\/span><\/a>) predicts mental instability [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/29051699\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Parental Divorce, Familial Risk for Depression, and Psychopathology in Offspring<\/span><\/a>, <\/em>by Eleni Vousora et al., <em>Journal of Child and Family Studies, <\/em>2012]. Emily\u2019s father Ashley Grossman remarried in 1984. And, then again, in 2003. From these marriages, he has <a href=\"https:\/\/bookmark.elsevierhealth.com\/ashleygrossman\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">five more daughters<\/span><\/a>.Her mother also remarried and had another daughter as well [<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thecnj.com\/review\/120706\/feat120706_01.html\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">The Snow White who started as a doctor<\/span>,<\/a> Camden New Journal, <\/em>December 7, 2006].<\/h5>\n<h5>Emily Grossman told a newspaper in 2017 that \u201cI had burnt out in my late twenties and early thirties\u201d [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejc.com\/news\/news-features\/scientists-it-s-ok-to-cry-says-campaigner-for-stem-subjects-1.445901\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Scientists, it\u2019s OK to cry, says campaigner for STEM subjects<\/span>,<\/a> <\/em>by Rosa Doherty, <em>Jewish Chronicle, <\/em>October 11, 2017]. In other words, she had a mental breakdown, so changed career yet again.<\/h5>\n<h5>In 2013, Emily Grossman got back into science, via a BBC scheme called \u201cExpert Women\u201d in which she effectively auditioned, as one of 2000 applicants, to be a female science presenter. Of course, having the right contacts may well have helped. Her mother, after all, is a former BBC news reporter and presenter <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"https:\/\/susangrossman.co.uk\/the-coach\">on BBC2\u2019s \u201cFood and Drink\u201d<\/a> <\/span>TV series.<\/h5>\n<h5>Since 2013, Emily Grossman has carved out a career as a \u201cscience communicator,\u201d appearing as a science expert on documentaries and even comedy panel shows.<\/h5>\n<h5>When in 2015, Nobel Prize-winning British biochemist <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/posts\/nobel-scientist-says-women-take-things-personally-women-take-it-personally\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Tim Hunt<\/span><\/a> said that <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00;\" href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/posts\/derb-s-reader-comment-of-the-week-so-far-on-the-watsoning-of-tim-hunt\">women in science<\/a> <\/span>were an increasing problem because \u201cwhen you criticise them, they cry,\u201d\u2014this was joke, <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/posts\/the-latest-in-fiasco-news-sir-tim-hunt\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">but reported out of context<\/span><\/a>\u2014 Grossman went on the airwaves to declare: \u201cWe desperately need to encourage more girls into science careers, and the concern is this might put them off.\u201d She debated this on Sky News with Milo Yiannopolous, and then became very upset about the resultant \u201cmisogynistic backlash. Hadn\u2019t quite realised the extent of #everydaysexism. Wow.\u201d<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2015\/06\/GrossmanNope-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h5>In reality, Grossman didn\u2019t experience \u201cmisogyny\u201d so much as simple criticism [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2015\/06\/11\/why-do-feminists-cook-up-stories-about-misogyny-when-they-lose-debates\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Why Do Feminists Cook Up Stories About \u2018Misogyny\u2019 When They Lose Debates?<\/span><\/a><\/em>, by Milo, <em>Breitbart News,<\/em> June 11, 2015].<\/h5>\n<h5>But this simple criticism was so unacceptable to Grossman that, according to senior Labour Member of Parliament Yvette Cooper <em>,<\/em> Grossman \u201cwas forced to take a break from social media\u201d [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2015\/dec\/16\/online-sexism-social-media-debate-abuse\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Online sexism is so out of control that we can no longer ignore it<\/span>,<\/a> <\/em>by Yvette Cooper, <em>Guardian, <\/em>December 16, 2015]. As with the dramatic career change, this inability to cope with adversity is a sign of high Neuroticism.<\/h5>\n<h5>Emily Grossman, like Jess Wade and Ben van der Merwe, is ethnically Jewish. As the <em>Jewish Chronicle\u2019s <\/em>Doherty reported:<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201c[Grossman] says her Jewish identity is a driving force behind her work. \u2018My determination to keep going when I\u2019ve been rejected has always felt in part culturally Jewish, as has my desire to express myself. I\u2019ve always had a longing to find my place in the world and I think that is probably quite a Jewish quality\u2019 . . . She reconnected to her faith five years ago through the pop-up shul movement Grassroots Jews, which has attracted up to 400 members. \u2018It is an important group for my generation. \u201cI have been able to connect to my Judaism on a spiritual level again.\u2019\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5>Now it seems Grossman has undergone yet another identity change, throwing herself into the XR. Rebellion blogger Tasmin Edwards has chronicled Grossman\u2019s new conversion: \u201cMy friend Emily Grossman moved from curious outsider to passionate insider\u201d [<em><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.plos.org\/models\/extinction-empathy-endings-beginnings\/\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Extinction, empathy, endings, beginnings<\/span>,<\/a><\/em> by Tasmin Edwards, <em>All Models Are Wrong, <\/em>September 15, 2019].<\/h5>\n<h5>And Emily has also had a sexual conversion. She was definitely heterosexual in 2017, when the Mail Online\u2019s Hardy reported: \u201cEmily has lived with two men, one during her 20s and a second lengthy relationship that ended last year\u201d But now her website <a href=\"https:\/\/vdare.com\/articles\/Until%20last%20year,%20Emily%20had%20seen%20herself%20as%20heterosexual,%20having%20only%20had%20relationships%20with%20men.\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">reports<\/span><\/a> that\u2026<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">Until last year, Emily had seen herself as heterosexual, having only had relationships with men. However, she met and fell in love with a non-binary partner, assigned female at birth\u2014singer-songwriter, music lecturer and gender activist Kimwei McCarthy. This started Emily on a voyage of discovery, questioning the boxes she had put herself into regarding her sexual orientation and even her own gender identity.<\/h5>\n<h5>Thus it seems Emily Grossman exemplifies a trend observed by F. Roger Devlin in his <em>Sexual Utopia in Power: <\/em>highly educated women are unable to fulfil their evolved desire to find a higher status male, so they become lesbians, specifically \u201cfemme\u201d lesbians.<\/h5>\n<h5>Emily Grossman can be added to the list that\u2019s been growing for a while now. Those who spearhead our destruction are a specific type: privately educated, extremely privileged\u2014often with academic parents\u2014ethnic minority (frequently Jewish) and usually evidencing mental instability.
