IN A FIT OF PESSIMISM,<\/strong> Paul Craig Roberts posts<\/strong><\/span><\/a> that \u201cTrump is history\u201d due to the impeachment effort that would cost him the White House.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe \u201cUS is in its final days,\u201d says<\/a><\/strong><\/span> Roberts, claiming that Trump doesn\u2019t know how to oppose the Democrats in their quest to annul the vote of 60 million patriots that put him in office.<\/span><\/p>\n No way.<\/span><\/p>\n Trump is handling the Democrats very well calling<\/strong><\/span><\/a> them \u201chaters of America,\u201d \u201ccorrupt,\u201d and joined in an \u201cunholy alliance\u201d with the \u201cdishonest media.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n As regards impeachment there is no substance<\/strong><\/span><\/a> to the complaint against Trump.<\/span><\/p>\n It alleges that Trump asked Ukraine to \u201clocate and turn over servers.\u201d Trump did not.<\/span><\/p>\n And there\u2019s no evidence Trump engaged in a \u201cquid pro quo\u201d by withholding military aid to Ukraine unless it \u201copened an investigation\u201d into Joe Biden. Trump made no such threats.<\/span><\/p>\n The Ukrainians say they had no knowledge aid was being withheld until a month after the call. You can\u2019t demand a quo<\/em> when the target is unaware of the quid<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n Moreover, the aid was<\/em> released\u2014despite no \u201cinvestigation\u201d or \u201cdirt\u201d from Ukraine. And Ukraine\u2019s President Zelensky has twice said there was no \u201cpressure\u201d or \u201cblackmail\u201d from the US with regard to an investigation.
