text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.people-press.org\/2019\/08\/07\/republicans-now-are-more-open-to-the-idea-of-expanding-presidential-power\/\">show<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">52% of Americans have an unfavorable view of the Democratic Party, with only 45% having a favorable view<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Americans feel the exact same towards the Republican party (52% unfavorable and 45% favorable)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As we\u2019ve repeatedly noted:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2016\/04\/reuters-poll-shows-51-americans-think-primary-process-rigged-heres-matters.html\">51%<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>of Americans know the primary process is rigged<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><em><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2016\/02\/overwhelming-majority-americans-believe-parties-corrupt-change-anything-americans-want-revolution.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>More than<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2015\/09\/gallup-60-of-americans-want-a-new-political-party-but-why.html\">half<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/em> of Americans want a third party<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/188096\/democratic-republican-identification-near-historical-lows.aspx\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>42%<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of Americans now think of themselves as independents \u2026 only<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong> <a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/188096\/democratic-republican-identification-near-historical-lows.aspx\">29%<\/a><\/strong><\/span> identify as Democrats, and <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/188096\/democratic-republican-identification-near-historical-lows.aspx\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>26%<\/strong><\/span><\/a> as Republicans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Even the <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2011\/07\/the-founding-fathers-tried-to-warn-us-about-the-threat-from-a-two-party-system.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Founding Fathers warned us<\/strong><\/span><\/a> about the threat from a two-party system<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Truly, it\u2019s time for a third party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Indeed, a new Gallup poll shows that the Federal government has a <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/266060\/big-pharma-sinks-bottom-industry-rankings.aspx\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>MINUS <\/strong><\/span><\/em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>27 <\/strong><\/span><\/a>net favorability rating.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Other polls over the last 5 years show:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Congress is <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2013\/12\/3-times-many-americans-supported-king-george-revolutionary-war-support-congress-today.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>less popular among Americans than<\/strong><\/span><\/a> zombies, witches, dog poop, potholes, toenail fungus, hemorrhoids, cockroaches, lice, root canals, colonoscopies, traffic jams, used car salesmen, Genghis Khan, communism, North Korea, BP during the Gulf oil spill, Nixon during Watergate or King George during the American Revolution.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Americans have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/washingtonsblog.com\/2015\/05\/americans-are-less-proud-of-our-country-than-yemenis-mexicans-libyans-rwandans-ghanaians-zimbabweans-pakistanis-nigerians-egyptians-jordanians-azerbaijanis-armenians-moroccans-kazakhstani.html\">less national pride<\/a><\/strong><\/span> than Yemenis, Mexicans, Libyans, Rwandans, Ghanaians, Zimbabweans, Pakistanis, Nigerians, Egyptians, Jordanians, Azerbaijanis, Armenians, Moroccans, Kazakhstanis, Tunisians, Qataris \u2026 and more than a dozen others<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Americans believe that <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/reason.com\/poll\/2014\/04\/03\/americans-say-75-percent-of-politicians\">75%<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>of all politicians are \u201ccorrupted\u201d by campaign donations and lobbyists, and <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/reason.com\/poll\/2014\/04\/03\/americans-say-75-percent-of-politicians\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>70%<\/strong><\/span><\/a> percent of politicians use their political power to help their friends and hurt their enemies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/msnbc\/fighting-corruption-polls-the-charts\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>71%<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of Americans believe the election system is biased in favor of the candidate with more money.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Americans think the financial system is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/la-fi-wall-street-regulation-dodd-frank-poll-20140717-story.html\">rigged<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/polling\/americans-generally-economic-wealthy\/2015\/04\/24\/e5e93c3e-5e8f-11e4-827b-2d813561bdfd_page.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>the wealthy<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/business\/general_business\/economic_fairness\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>52 percent<\/strong><\/span><\/a> of Americans \u201cdo not think the economy is fair to those willing to work hard\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Multiple polls find that Americans are <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2013\/04\/multiple-polls-americans-are-more-afraid-of-the-government-than-terrorists.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>more afraid of our government than of terrorists<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Only <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/general_politics\/january_2014\/21_think_federal_government_has_consent_of_the_governed\">21%<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>of likely voters think that our government has the \u201cconsent of the governed\u201d.\u00a0 And <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2011\/08\/rasmussen-poll-american-sentiment-is-pre-revolutionary-only-17-say-u-s-government-has-consent-of-the-governed.html\">see this<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">As we <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/washingtonsblog.com\/2014\/08\/twice-many-americans-strongly-disapprove-obama-strongly-approve.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>explained<\/strong><\/span><\/a> in 2014:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Both the <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2009\/03\/the-difference-between-liberals-and-conservatives.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>mainstream Republican and Democratic<\/strong><\/span><\/a> parties are <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2008\/11\/neocons-and-neoliberals-two-masks-one-face.html\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>virtually identical<\/strong><\/span><\/a> regarding <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2012\/12\/its-not-a-fiscal-cliff-its-the-descent-into-lawless-anarchy.html\">both the rule of law and free market capitalism have been trashed<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In reality, we no longer have free market capitalism. Instead, we have <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2009\/10\/capitalism-socialism-or-fascism.html\">socialism for the rich and sink-or-swim <\/a><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonsblog.com\/2009\/10\/capitalism-socialism-or-fascism.html\">capitalism<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for everyone else. \u00a0 Conservatives see the socialism half of this equation, and liberals see the laissez faire free market half. Both liberals and conservatives hate crony capitalism.
