\"\"<\/a>It seems like every time I think the left and the establishment media\u2019s claims about the Trump administration couldn\u2019t get any more outrageous, they do anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest example of this came this week in the wake of two deadly mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leftists have had no issue blaming Trump for the El Paso shooting, claiming the president\u2019s calls for a more secure border were reflected in the suspected gunman\u2019s apparent hatred for immigrants.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Monday, a former FBI official took things a step further, connecting Trump\u2019s\u00a0proclamation<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0that America\u2019s flags be flown at half-staff in honor of the shootings\u2019 victims to neo-Nazi symbolism.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe president\u2019s either getting really good advice and rejecting it, or he\u2019s getting really bad advice,\u201d former FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi said Monday on MSNBC.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to understand the adversary and the threat we\u2019re dealing with, and if we don\u2019t understand how they think, we\u2019ll never understand how to counter them, so it\u2019s little things and the language and messaging that matters,\u201d he told host Brian Williams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Figliuzzi then provided an absolutely ridiculous example.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe president said that we will fly our flags at half-mast until Aug. 8 \u2014 that\u2019s 8\/8,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow I\u2019m not going to imply that he did this deliberately, but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that\u2019s being demonstrated by the White House. The numbers 8\/8 are very significant in neo-Nazi and white supremacy movement,\u201d he said. \u201cWhy? Because the letter \u2018H\u2019 is the eighth letter of the alphabet, and to them, the numbers 8\/8 together stand for \u2018Heil Hitler.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo we\u2019re going to be raising the flag back up at dusk on 8\/8. No one\u2019s thinking about this. No one\u2019s giving him the advice, or he\u2019s rejecting the advice,\u201d Figliuzzi said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, this in and of itself is outrageous enough. Criticizing Trump for lowering the flags to honor victims of mass shootings seems like quite a stretch.<\/span><\/p>\n

But Figliuzzi wasn\u2019t done \u2014 far from it, in fact. And Williams simply egged him on.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs chilling as that is to hear,\u201d Williams said, \u201cyou\u2019re saying it is possible that someone who knows better is authoring or editing the words that show up verbatim, or are supposed to be read verbatim by the president.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Williams was referring to a\u00a0speech<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u00a0Trump delivered Monday in response to the shootings.<\/span><\/p>\n

The president directly addressed the El Paso shooter\u2019s hateful manifesto and called on the nation to \u201ccondemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy.\u201d That wasn\u2019t good enough for Figliuzzi, who claimed Trump used the \u201cpassive voice\u201d instead of personally condemning white supremacy.<\/span><\/p>\n
