{"id":191495,"date":"2019-07-13T14:36:47","date_gmt":"2019-07-13T14:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=191495"},"modified":"2019-07-17T05:41:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-17T05:41:55","slug":"irans-irgc-unleashes-fire-on-terrorist-positions-along-border-with-iraqi-kurdistan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=191495","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s IRGC unleashes fire on terrorist positions along border with Iraqi Kurdistan"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"center\">\n<h1>Press TV \u2013 July 13, 2019<\/h1>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S3LZt-QPVpc\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n&#8212;<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has staged a multi-pronged offensive on terrorist positions along the Iranian border with Iraq\u2019s\u00a0 northern\u00a0semi-autonomous\u00a0Kurdistan region, inflicting heavy losses on them.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The IRGC, in a statement on Friday afternoon, announced that it has been pounding the strongholds and positions of \u201ccounter-revolutionary terrorist groups sponsored by the global arrogance\u201d in the Kurdish region since Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The raids took place after Kurdistan Regional Government\u00a0(KRG)\u00a0authorities did not heed the IRGC\u2019s earlier warnings that terrorist groups are using border areas to train, organize and dispatch terror teams into Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The statement added that the raids came in the wake of a recent deadly terror attack against IRGC members as well as \u201cdesperate attempts\u201d by the terrorists\u00a0to undermine the security in some regions of Iran\u2019s western and northwestern areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">It further noted that IRGC\u2019s missile, drone and artillery units targeted and destroyed the terrorist groups\u2019 bases and training centers during the operation.
