Last month, a Google employee<\/a><\/strong><\/span> penned an article about the US tech giant, describing it as a place where \u201coutrage mobs and witch hunts dominate its culture\u201d \u2013 something that, as he put it, has become an \u201cexistential threat\u201d to the company\u2019s credibility.<\/span><\/p>\n Google fired Mike Wacker, a conservative software engineer, after he published a post<\/a> on Medium in which he suggested that the company\u2019s \u201coutrage mobs\u201d and \u201cwitch hunts\u201d target both outsiders and insiders, including its own employees, The Daily Caller<\/em> reported<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n While the article was penned on 21 May, Wacker was reportedly put on paid administrative leave last Wednesday and fired two days later.<\/span><\/p>\n Just a day before his suspension, the software engineer appeared on Fox Business to address Google\u2019s anti-conservative bias, where he reiterated that those \u201coutrage mobs are so hostile\u201d, but even if you \u201cpush back on them, they can turn on you instead\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to offend somebody next and a lot of time they are going to HR over these trivial things\u201d, he said.<\/span><\/p>\n #Google<\/a> Software engineer @m_wacker<\/a> SOUNDS OFF on his company\u2019s anti-conservative bias: \u201cThese outrage mobs are so hostile.
