{"id":189067,"date":"2019-05-30T07:34:28","date_gmt":"2019-05-30T07:34:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=189067"},"modified":"2019-06-01T05:46:06","modified_gmt":"2019-06-01T05:46:06","slug":"there-have-been-more-than-500-tornadoes-in-the-u-s-during-the-last-30-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/?p=189067","title":{"rendered":"There Have Been More Than 500 Tornadoes In The U.S. During The Last 30 Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>This Is Not \u201cNormal\u201d <\/em><\/h2>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">Michael Snyder \u2013 The End of the American Dream May 28, 2019<\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-189070\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.thetruthseeker.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Tornado-2-Public-Domain.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The mainstream media has been using the term <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/11-straight-days-of-tornadoes-have-us-approaching-uncharted-territory\/ar-AAC2Hz5\">\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>uncharted territory<\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/a> to describe the unusual tornado outbreaks that have been happening in the middle of the country, but I don\u2019t think that truly captures the historic nature of what we are witnessing.\u00a0 Over the last 30 days, there have been more than 500 tornadoes in the United States.\u00a0 That is not normal.\u00a0 In fact, Tuesday was the 12th day in a row when at least eight tornadoes were spawned, and that is a new all-time record.\u00a0 Community after community in the Midwest now looks like a <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamFox45Now\/status\/1133299923489906688?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1133299923489906688&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.zerohedge.com%2Fnews%2F2019-05-28%2Fit-looks-war-zone-millions-without-power-tornadoe%20\">\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>war zone<\/strong><\/span>\u201d<\/a>, and billions upon billions of dollars of damage has already been done.\u00a0 But this crisis is far from over, because forecasters are telling us that more powerful storms will roar through the middle of the country on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Since 1998, there has been <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/storms\/tornado\/news\/2018-03-27-april-may-june-tornadoes-peak-months\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>an average of 279 tornadoes<\/strong><\/span><\/a> during the month of May.\u00a0 So the fact that we have had more than 500 over the last 30 days means that we are running <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/11-straight-days-of-tornadoes-have-us-approaching-uncharted-territory\/ar-AAC2Hz5\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>way, way above normal<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In the last week alone, the authorities have linked tornadoes to at least seven deaths and scores of injuries. <strong>Federal government weather forecasters logged preliminary reports of more than 500 tornadoes in a 30-day period<\/strong> \u2014 a rare figure, if the reports are ultimately verified \u2014 after the start of the year proved mercifully quiet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The barrage continued Tuesday night, as towns and cities across the Midwest took shelter from powerful storms. Tornadoes carved a line of devastation from eastern Kansas through Missouri, ripping trees and power lines in Lawrence, Kan., southwest of Kansas City, and pulverizing houses in nearby Linwood.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">According to the National Weather Service, there were <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/80000-power-deaths-reported-ohio-tornado\/story?id=63314869\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>more than 50 tornadoes<\/strong><\/span><\/a> over Memorial Day weekend alone, and at this point there have been at least 8 tornadoes in the U.S. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/11-straight-days-of-tornadoes-have-us-approaching-uncharted-territory\/ar-AAC2Hz5\">for 12 consecutive days<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><strong>Tuesday was the 12th consecutive day with at least eight tornado reports, breaking the record<\/strong>, according to Dr. Marsh. The storms have drawn their fuel from two sources: a high-pressure area that pulled the Gulf of Mexico\u2019s warm, moist air into the central United States, where it combined with the effects of a trough trapped over the Rockies, which included strong winds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The devastation that has been left behind by these storms has been immense.\u00a0 When Dayton assistant fire chief Nicholas Hosford appeared <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/tornado-slams-major-ohio-city-60-million-americans-still-under-severe-weather-threat\/ar-AAC1Lyw\">on ABC\u2019s \u201cGood Morning America\u201d<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, he told viewers that in his city there are \u201chomes flattened, entire apartment complexes destroyed, businesses throughout our community where walls have collapsed\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Countless numbers of Americans have had their lives completely turned upside down, and of course the Midwest has already been reeling from unprecedented flooding in recent months.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">So far this year, much of the focus has been on the historic flooding along the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, but now severe flooding along the Arkansas River <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/safety\/floods\/news\/2019-05-27-river-flooding-record-may-rain-arkansas-oklahoma-kansas\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>is threatening to break all-time records<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Heavy rainfall over the past few weeks is threatening all-time May records and swelling rivers to record levels in parts of Arkansas and Oklahoma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">The National Weather Service in Little Rock, Arkansas, didn\u2019t mince words Sunday, expecting historic, record flooding along the Arkansas River from Toad Suck Reservoir northwest of Little Rock to the Oklahoma border that could have impacts lasting well into the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In fact, <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2019\/05\/27\/oklahoma-arkansas-brace-for-record-floods\/1249936001\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>USA Today<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is plainly stating that both states are \u201cbracing for their worst-ever\u00a0flooding\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Oklahoma and Arkansas were bracing for their worst-ever\u00a0flooding\u00a0as a new wave of storms forecast to roll through the region threatened to further bloat the Arkansas River that already has reached record crests in some areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Forecasters reported<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>tornadoes, high winds, hail and heavy rain across the region on Monday, triggering evacuations and high-water rescues. The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2019\/05\/26\/2-dead-unknown-number-missing-oklahoma-tornado\/1243924001\/\">storms are the latest to rip through the Midwest <\/a><\/strong><\/span>over the past two weeks, leaving at least nine dead and a trail of damage from high winds and flooding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Of course let us not forget what is happening along the Mississippi River either.\u00a0 The flooding has been called \u201cthe worst in over 90 years\u201d, and in some parts of the river new records <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2019\/05\/28\/mississippi-river-flooding-longest-lasting-since-great-flood-1927\/1261049001\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>are already being set<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">For example, In Vicksburg, Mississippi, the river went above flood stage on Feb. 17, and has remained in flood ever since. The weather service said this is the longest continuous stretch above flood stage since 1927.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the Mississippi first rose above flood stage in early January, and has been above that level ever since, the National Weather Service said. If this record-long stretch extends well into June, it would break the record from 1927, according to the Weather Channel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">And farther north, the Mississippi River at the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois saw its longest stretch above major flood stage ever recorded, even surpassing that of 1927.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">None of this is \u201cnormal\u201d, and prior to the month of May we had already witnessed the wettest 12 months in all of U.S. history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">All of this wet weather has been <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/crop-catastrophe-in-the-midwest-latest-usda-crop-progress-report-indicates-that-a-nightmare-scenario-is-upon-us\">absolutely disastrous for Midwest farmers<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, and so far in 2019 agricultural production <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"http:\/\/theeconomiccollapseblog.com\/archives\/crop-catastrophe-in-the-midwest-latest-usda-crop-progress-report-indicates-that-a-nightmare-scenario-is-upon-us\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>is way, way below expectations<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 In the months ahead, we should all <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2YPISQc\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>be prepared<\/strong><\/span><\/a> for much higher prices at the grocery store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Unfortunately, more wet weather is on the way.\u00a0 According to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ccffff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/safety\/floods\/news\/2019-05-27-river-flooding-record-may-rain-arkansas-oklahoma-kansas\">the Weather Channel<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, another series of very powerful storms will rip through the middle of the country on Wednesday\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday night from Iowa to Oklahoma, which may produce areas of locally heavy rain and flash flooding. Some clusters of storms may persist into Wednesday morning in the Ozarks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Then, another rash of thunderstorms with heavy rain is expected Wednesday and Wednesday night from North Texas into Oklahoma, Arkansas and southern Missouri that could only trigger more flash flooding and aggravate ongoing river flooding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">Weather patterns are going absolutely crazy, and we have never seen a year quite like this in modern American history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">So what is going to happen if weather patterns get even crazier and natural disasters just continue to become even more frequent and even more powerful?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\">You may want to start thinking about that, because that is exactly what many people believe is going to happen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ccffff;\"><em>About the author: <a style=\"color: #ccffff;\" href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2CKeYnY\">Michael Snyder<\/a> is a nationally-syndicated writer, media personality and political activist.
