<\/a><\/p>\nYesterday, hundreds of undocumented migrants took control of Terminal 2 of the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris France. Approximately 500 migrants seized the terminal.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFrance does not belong to the French!<\/strong> Everyone has a right to be here!\u201d one person can be heard yelling into a loudspeaker.<\/span><\/p>\n The protest was organized by the migrant support group \u201cLa Chapelle Debout<\/strong><\/span><\/a>,\u201d which said their members call themselves \u201cBlack Vests.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The group comes amid the country\u2019s months-long \u201cYellow Vests movement\u201d over tax reforms; French citizens are required to carry yellow vests in their vehicles for emergencies. They demanded that the airline \u201cstop any financial, material, logistical or political participation in deportations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Later Sunday, an Air France delegation met with the group, a member\u00a0told local newspaper Le Parisien<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n A migrant who took part in the protest warned it wouldn\u2019t be the last.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe have targeted Air France, and other actions will follow,\u201d he told the paper. Here\u2019s another example<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and another still<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n The migrants are reported to have refused to allow passengers to board their planes until their demands were met. They were held back by riot police but actually got a meeting with a representative of Air France.<\/span><\/p>\n What kind of precedent does this set? One tweet even suggests \u201cPrime Minister \u00c9douard Philippe caved into their demands and gave them all permanent legal status, though that hasn\u2019t been confirmed.\u201d (source<\/a><\/strong><\/span>)<\/span><\/p>\n https:\/\/twitter.com\/sotiridi\/status\/1130221526442229760<\/p>\n This means that you can go into a foreign country and make demands and people will actually listen. People will actually capitulate to your demands in a place where you are by the grace of the local government. If there was any doubt that there\u2019d be more of these types of sieges, I think we can lay that to rest right now.<\/span><\/p>\n We have not seen the end of the Black Vests<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m not against people migrating to other countries. I\u2019ve done it myself and I\u2019ve brought my children back to my own country. But there are processes. This is not one of those processes.<\/span><\/p>\nMigrants warn it won\u2019t stop here.<\/h2>\n
