<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\nWhen it seemed as\u00a0if the British\u00a0had lost their survival instinct as a\u00a0society, the European Parliament election\u00a0came along. The\u00a0message delivered\u00a0by every poll is undeniable: unlike their treacherous political class, the Brits are still amongst the most sophisticated people around, they are performing a landslide exodus from their rotten leading parties:\u00a0the Conservatives and Labour. They\u00a0are marching\u00a0back to their true cultural\u00a0roots: conservatism on one hand\u00a0(the Brexit Party),\u00a0welfare and openness\u00a0on the other\u00a0(the Liberal Democrats).<\/h5>\n
With just days left before the European elections take place, it is pretty clear that the Tories\u00a0are going to\u00a0be wiped out. The party that calls itself conservative\u00a0is being humiliatingly beaten\u00a0by a man who truly\u00a0fits the term.<\/h5>\n
A\u00a0large number of Brits, the majority according to one referendum, openly like to be Brits and insist to sustain their kingdom as they remember it. They like to see their values\u00a0 preserved, they are proud of their country\u2019s achievements, they believe that for Britain to survive it better be independent of the EU and Brussels. These people do not find their beliefs and values being reflected by\u00a0the Tories, the government and their Prime Minister. They are going to give their vote to Nigel Farage and his newly born party. The Brexit Party\u00a0looks likely\u00a0to score a higher\u00a0vote share\u00a0than\u00a0the Conservatives and Labour\u00a0combined,\u00a0an astonishing\u00a0achievement for\u00a0a six-week-old\u00a0political body. But the truth of the matter is that the Brexit Party is as old as Britain. It is the true Conservative Party. The conservative\u00a0voter knows\u00a0it\u00a0and Tory\u00a0politicians do not deny it.<\/h5>\n
But this is not the end of the story. Our opposition party is even more compromised than our Government. Corbyn\u2019s\u00a0Labour is\u00a0hardly a functioning party.\u00a0It has been reduced into a shameless political caricature. Since Corbyn was elected to lead the party, Labour\u00a0have performed\u00a0very little politics except relentless back stabbing. Corbyn, no doubt a nice and friendly\u00a0character, was\u00a0uniquely\u00a0clumsy to be\u00a0pulled into endless battles with the Israeli lobby\u00a0and Jewish pressure groups<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that smeared him\u00a0relentlessly. Instead of holding his ground, the elder socialist reverted to\u00a0crawling<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0bowing<\/span><\/a>. Corbyn let the Zionist segments in his\u00a0party purge his \u00a0\u00a0allies amongst them the party\u2019s most heroic figures. Being the\u00a0unsophisticated man\u00a0he is, he managed to surround himself with advisers who were even less erudite than himself. He sought allies with divisive\u00a0identitarian\u00a0groups and made friends with\u00a0Jews-only\u00a0racist exclusive cells<\/a><\/span>\u00a0just because they seemed to support him. Brits saw all of\u00a0this\u00a0with disbelief.\u00a0Corbyn, who\u00a0was\u00a0of great promise and hope\u00a0for many Brits including myself, is now a sad character waiting to be politically axed. His approval rate amongst Brits is around\u00a027%<\/a>,\u00a0as low as the generally\u00a0despised\u00a0Theresa May<\/a><\/span>.<\/h5>\n
This weekend,\u00a0just a few days ahead of the election, Labour shadow ministers are in a state of panic and\u00a0with good\u00a0reason. A new poll seen by the\u00a0Observer<\/a><\/span>\u00a0has suggested that the Liberal Democrats is now in first place in London and could beat Labour overall\u00a0across the country. More and more polls suggest that\u00a0the Lib Dems\u00a0have now narrowly overtaken Labour\u00a0as the favourite party of remain supporters. As I have been saying for a\u00a0while, the\u00a0Left is dead in the water.<\/a><\/h5>\n
Labour voters migrating\u00a0to the Lib Dems shouldn\u2019t take us\u00a0by complete\u00a0surprise.\u00a0 For disillusioned Corbyn fans and Labour supporters\u00a0the party is a natural refuge.\u00a0The Lib Dems were formed in 1988\u00a0but their roots date back to the middle of the 19th\u00a0century.\u00a0Back then\u00a0the Liberal Party\u00a0was one of the two\u00a0major\u00a0British parties.\u00a0They\u00a0were\u00a0inspired\u00a0by the liberal\u00a0and humanitarian ideals of the\u00a0American and\u00a0French Revolutions.\u00a0Liberal\u00a0\u00a0governments\u00a0passed\u00a0the\u00a0welfare reforms\u00a0that created a basic British\u00a0welfare state as we know it today.\u00a0For people who care about social welfare, but also believe that Britain\u2019s survival requires remaining in the EU, the Lib Dems are the only possible political home.<\/h5>\n
In my recent book\u00a0<\/em>Being in Time \u2013 A Post Political Manifesto<\/span><\/em><\/a>,\u00a0I argue\u00a0that\u00a0for working\u00a0people the real meaning of utopia is nostalgia.<\/strong> Trump won the\u00a0hearts and minds\u00a0of many working Americans\u00a0because he promised to\u00a0\u2018Make America Great Again.\u2019 As opposed to the progressives and leftists who claim to know how to make the future shiny, Trump vowed to deliver \u2018the past.\u2019 Farage\u2019s Brexit Party is selling the exact same product.\u00a0The British\u00a0past is certainly more appealing than the British present. The reason that older people tend to support Brexit is not because they are\u00a0careless about\u00a0the future of their\u00a0sons and daughters. They probably remember times when Britain was a productive nation and the working class was identified by the act of Labour as opposed to a party that names itself \u2018Labour.\u2019 <\/strong>The Brits who want to remain in the EU\u00a0(and according to some polls they are a large majority of the British population)\u00a0do not\u00a0see Labour\u00a0as a valid representative of their views,\u00a0as the party\u00a0has failed\u00a0to take a clear position on any topic in the last few years except the commitment\u00a0to \u2018fight\u00a0against\u00a0anti-Semitism.\u2019<\/h5>\n
What\u00a0we see in\u00a0Britain is\u00a0a homecoming on a grand scale.\u00a0The mass exodus to the Brexit Party and the Lib Dems is\u00a0the outcome of collective fatigue over compromised\u00a0politicians and the political in general. The people who live in this kingdom are upset by the idea that eighty per cent of the Conservative party are members of the\u00a0Conservative Friends of Israel<\/a><\/span>. They are basically friends of a criminal\u00a0racist state, yet one wonders how many\u00a0Tory MPs\u00a0are remotely\u00a0friendly with Grimsby or\u00a0Wolverhampton? Brits are equally tired of watching their opposition leader\u00a0grovelling for the poison of anti-Semitism in his party<\/a><\/span>.<\/h5>\n
Brits\u00a0have had\u00a0enough of all of that. The majority of the people who live in this country understand that for them to survive,\u00a0Britain better come first, whether this translates into \u2018leave\u2019 or \u2018remain.\u2019<\/strong><\/h5>\n
