Jonathan Portes<\/span><\/strong><\/a> is a Jewish economist and a big fan of mass immigration. In collaboration with the Jewish immigration minister Barbara Roche<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, he was central to New Labour\u2019s successful conspiracy<\/strong><\/a><\/span> to open Britain\u2019s borders to Eastern Europe and the Third World. The conspiracy was very bad for Labour\u2019s traditional supporters<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in the White working-class, but very good for the rich Jewish businessmen<\/strong><\/a><\/span> who funded Tony Blair<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and dictated New Labour\u2019s policies<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.<\/h5>\n

Inflammatory nonsense<\/strong><\/h2>\n
But while Portes (pronounced \u201cPort-iz\u201d) believes in open borders, he also believes in closed mouths. In other words, he\u2019s a big fan of censorship and doesn\u2019t like Whites discussing racial differences and the effects of mass immigration. When the conservative philosopher Roger Scruton was sacked<\/span><\/strong><\/a> from a government committee for alleged anti-Semitism, Islamophobia and racism, Portes welcomed his departure<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and condemned him for peddling \u201cinflammatory nonsense,\u201d \u201ctabloid<\/span><\/strong><\/a>-level ignorance and straightforward falsity.\u201d He then went on to peddle some inflammatory nonsense of his own when he praised the heavily Jewish<\/span><\/strong><\/a> \u201cRace Relations Act of 1968,\u201d claiming that<\/strong><\/a><\/span> the Act \u201coutlawed direct discrimination in housing or employment, as exemplified by signs saying \u2018No blacks, no dogs, no Irish\u2019.\u201d<\/h5>\n

\u201cMore Blacks, More Dogs, More Irish\u201d: SJWs exploit an urban myth<\/span><\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n
That\u2019s how hate-filled the White English were in the 1950s and \u201960s, you see: when they were offering houses or rooms for rent, they put up signs saying \u201cNo blacks, no dogs, no Irish.\u201d Thousands of signs up and down the land. Well, hundreds, anyway. Well, they were a common sight. So common, in fact, that there\u2019s no solid proof that they ever existed. The Irish Studies Centre (ISC) at London Metropolitan University (LMU) has a single photograph<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of \u201csomewhat uncertain\u201d \u201cprovenance\u201d donated in the 1980s. And when the academic Steve Bruce was researching the topic<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in the 1990s, he \u201ctried without success to find one and had to fake one for a book cover.\u201d Writing in 2015, Bruce issued<\/strong><\/a><\/span> a \u201cplea to Guardian readers. If \u201cNo Irish\u201d signs were as common as is asserted, there should be plenty of them remaining in private collections, local archives and the like. \u2026 Can we please see some?\u201d No, we can\u2019t. Instead, we need to have faith. Dr Tony Murray, Director of the ISC at LMU, says that<\/strong><\/a><\/span>: \u201cAmple evidence exists in numerous oral history interviews with both Caribbean and Irish migrants that such signs existed well into the 60s.\u201d<\/h5>\n

An urban myth<\/strong><\/h2>\n
No, that\u2019s not \u201cample evidence\u201d: it\u2019s anecdotage. I don\u2019t believe that such signs ever existed. They\u2019re an urban myth peddled by people who, because they hate the English, want to believe that the English are haters. Yes, there is solid proof<\/span><\/strong><\/a> that English people put up signs saying \u201cno coloureds\u201d and \u201cno West Indians.\u201d But I don\u2019t think such signs were proof of \u201chate.\u201d Blacks are much more likely to be bad tenants than Whites are. Everyone who has dealings with Blacks learns this. For example, the BBC exposed non-White Asian landlords<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in 2013 for \u201cdiscriminating\u201d against Black tenants. Back in the 1950s, the notorious Peter Rachman<\/span><\/strong><\/a> (1919\u201362) installed violent and noisy Blacks to drive White tenants out of houses he wanted to buy or convert into flats. That\u2019s how the English language acquired the handy word \u201cRachmanism,\u201d meaning \u201cthe exploitation and intimidation of tenants by unscrupulous landlords.\u201d<\/h5>\n

Peter Rachman, an unscrupulous Jew from Poland<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n
That definition is from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary<\/em>, which describes Rachman as a \u201cLondon landlord.\u201d In fact, he was a Jew from Poland, part of the post-war influx of Eastern European Jews that also brought us the mega-fraudster Robert Maxwell<\/strong><\/a><\/span> (1923-91), a Jew from Czechoslovakia whose real name was Binyamin Hoch. It\u2019s remarkable how the tiny Jewish community have supplied the world with so many financial crooks and confidence tricksters like Rachman and Hoch \u2014 compare Bernie Madoff<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and Michael Milken<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in the United States. But if you do remark this pattern, you\u2019ll be in serious trouble. Noticing racial patterns is strictly forbidden in the intellectual Flatland<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of the modern West and in Britain there are now strict laws against signs like \u201cno coloureds\u201d and \u201cno West Indians.\u201d And who can we thank for these laws, which ended the right of free association and free control of private property? It was Jews like Anthony Lester and Jim Rose<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, who \u201cfounded the Runnymede Trust to combat racial prejudice and promote policies for overcoming racial discrimination and disadvantage.\u201d<\/h5>\n

Predation was ended by expulsion<\/strong><\/h2>\n
I described the work of the Runnymede Trust in \u201cBarons of Bullshit<\/span><\/strong><\/a>.\u201d It has an Orwellian name<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, because Runnymede<\/span><\/strong><\/a> was where, in popular legend, freedom-loving barons forced tyrannical King John to sign Magna Carta<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and grant his subjects protection against the monarchy and its allies. As Francis Carr Begbie has pointed out<\/span><\/strong><\/a> at the Occidental Observer<\/em>, when the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta was celebrated in 2015, there was no mention of \u201ctwo crucial paragraphs\u201d in the charter that sought to protect gentiles against \u201cthe Jews\u201d and their financial wiles. Patterns of Jewish predation were obvious in Britain many centuries ago, but they abruptly ended in 1290. That was when King Edward I issued an Edict of Expulsion<\/strong><\/a> against Britain\u2019s Jews and they had to depart for the European mainland.<\/h5>\n

Jonathan Portes and other Jews would call Edward I a \u201chater.\u201d I\u2019d call him a pattern-recognizer who acted for the benefit of his White Christian subjects. But the English monarchy was briefly toppled in the seventeenth century by Oliver Cromwell<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, who allowed Jews back into Britain. When Jews came back, so did Jewish predation, as Charles Dickens noted when he created the Jewish master-thief Fagin in Oliver Twist<\/em> (1838). I\u2019ve also argued that Dickens created a Jewish villain<\/strong><\/a><\/span> in the poison-dwarf Quilp of The Old Curiosity Shop<\/em> (1840) and that M.R. James attacked both Jews and Cromwell<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>in \u201cThe Uncommon Prayer-Book\u201d (1921). Dickens himself said<\/strong><\/a><\/span>: \u201cFagin in Oliver Twist<\/em> is a Jew, because it unfortunately was true of the time to which that story refers, that that class of criminal almost invariably was a Jew.\u201d<\/h5>\n
That\u2019s more hate, Portes and other Jews would say. I\u2019d say it\u2019s more pattern-recognition. Dickens was a genius because he was so good at recognizing social, psychological and cultural patterns and then re-creating them in his stories, often embellished or exaggerated for comic or satiric effect. The Jewish genius, by contrast, is for creating seductive ideological patterns that aren\u2019t based on reality even as they pretend to offer deep insights into reality. Jewish ideologues like Karl Marx<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, Sigmund Freud<\/span><\/strong><\/a> and Franz Boas<\/strong><\/a><\/span> were masters of smoke-and-mirrors, and their seductive ideologies all contributed to the egalitarian cult that rules the modern West.<\/h5>\n

Some are more equal than others<\/strong><\/h2>\n
However, although the cult claims to believe in human equality, it belies this by its behaviour. For example, the cult incessantly condemns \u201cunder-representation.\u201d But only when its favoured groups \u2014 non-Whites, gays, women and so on \u2014 are affected. When Whites, men and Christians are \u201cunder-represented,\u201d the cult ceases to care. The Guardian<\/em> has recently reported<\/span><\/strong><\/a> that \u201cMore than 15% of the BBC\u2019s workforce are now from a BAME [Black and Minority Ethnic] background \u2014 more than the wider UK population \u2014 and the corporation says it is set to meet its targets for ensuring its staff reflect disabled and LGBT people by the end of this year.\u201d<\/h5>\n
Non-Whites are over-represented at the BBC, but this is not a problem. Nor is it proof that Whites are being discriminated against. Rather it\u2019s cause for celebration. The egalitarian cult really seeks power, not equality. And it wants to harm Whites, especially White men, not to help non-Whites and women. As Steve Sailer puts it<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, there\u2019s a \u201ccoalition of the fringes<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u201d who define themselves by their difference from, and hatred of, the heterosexual and historically Christian Whites who have formed the core of societies like the United States and Britain.<\/h5>\n

The coalition is cracking<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Jews have been at the centre of this coalition across the West, and at this point it\u2019s doubtful it can be called a coalition of the fringes give their power in the media and the culture generally. Jonathan Sacks, the former Chief Rabbi, said in 2007<\/strong><\/a><\/span> that Jews began \u201cidentity politics\u201d and \u201cthe process\u201d whereby \u201cminorities and aggrieved groups jockeyed first for rights, then for special treatment.\u201d Jews promote minority worship<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, or the sacralization of racial and other minorities, because they see themselves as the archetypal persecuted minority. That\u2019s why, for example, Jewish egalitarians like Dr Richard Stone claim that<\/span><\/strong><\/a> \u201cJews and Muslims are natural allies.\u201d Against whom? Against the hate-filled White Christian majority, of course.<\/h5>\n
But there are interesting signs that the coalition of fringes overseen by Jews is beginning to crack. In the New York Times<\/em>, the Jewish journalist Bari Weiss has described<\/strong><\/a> <\/span>the Somali Congresswoman Ilhan Omar as \u201cexactly the kind of politician a vast majority of American Jews, who overwhelmingly vote Democratic and who have long aligned themselves with liberal causes, want to celebrate.\u201d After all, Omar is \u201ca refugee, a mother, a Muslim and a woman of color \u2014 the first woman of color to represent Minnesota in Congress.\u201d In other words, she\u2019s the very opposite of a stale pale Christian male. But alas! She has turned out to be an \u201canti-Semite\u201d for, among other offenses, noting the power of Jewish money behind the Israel Lobby. Jonathan Goldstein, \u201cchair of the Jewish Leadership Council\u201d in Britain, has condemned Omar in the Jewish Chronicle<\/em>:<\/h5>\n
The Jewish community\u2019s position is simple. We want \u2014 and as a minority community are entitled to expect \u2014 zero tolerance towards anti-Jewish racism. If you are a political leader who cannot live up to that standard, then your words are meaningless to us. Ilhan Omar can\u2019t propagate old fashioned tropes about Jewish power and money and then claim to be an ally on racism directed towards Jews. She is part of the problem not part of the solution and her crocodile tears are plain offensive. (I am tired of Labour MPs who condemn antisemitism one day and campaign for Corbyn\u2019s party the next<\/a><\/span>, <\/strong>The Jewish Chronicle<\/strong><\/em>, 1st May 2019)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Stale pale male vs vibrant vixen: Jonathan Goldstein and Ilhan Omar<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n
Unfortunately, most progressives will laugh to see a stale pale male like Jonathan Goldstein condemning a hijab-wearing Black Muslim woman like Ilhan Omar. But that isn\u2019t the only problem Goldstein faces, because Jews can\u2019t even rely on their favourite accusation of \u201canti-Semitism\u201d any more. Back in March 2019 another member of the Jewish Leadership Council, the \u201cleading Holocaust educator\u201d Dame Helen Hyde<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, \u201csuggested dropping the use<\/span><\/strong><\/a> of \u2018antisemitism\u2019 because students do not understand what it means.\u201d In his condemnation of Omar, Goldstein was using Hyde\u2019s new alternative, \u201canti-Jewish racism.\u201d He hammered away at this concept in his article, referring again and again to \u201cracism directed towards Jews\u201d rather than to \u201canti-Semitism.\u201d<\/h5>\n

Hyper-Whites with Hyper-Privilege<\/strong><\/h2>\n
The concept of \u201canti-Jewish racism\u201d is certainly easier to understand than \u201canti-Semitism,\u201d but it\u2019s also easier to question. How can a Black Muslim woman like Ilhan Omar be \u201cracist\u201d against a privileged White male like Jonathan Goldstein? Jews are so successful and so prominent in world affairs that, according<\/span> to<\/span><\/strong><\/a> the Jewish Chronicle<\/em>, \u201cOne in seven people polled\u201d in a recent survey \u201cthought Jews made up more than 20 per cent of the world\u2019s population \u2014 which would amount to 1.44 billion people.\u201d<\/h5>\n
\u201cOne in seven\u201d is 14 percent and \u201cOnly 7 percent of [the] survey respondents correctly\u201d said that Jews were \u201cless than 1 per cent of the global population.\u201d But would it be good for Jews for the tiny size of their community to be more generally known? I don\u2019t think it would, because it would raise questions about why Jews are so successful when much larger groups like Blacks and Muslims are so unsuccessful. More and more progressives see Jews not as a persecuted ethnic minority, but as hyper-Whites with hyper-privilege. That\u2019s why Jeremy Corbyn, leader of the British Labour party, has been able to survive repeated accusations of \u201canti-Semitism\u201d and retain his popularity with ordinary Labour members and non-White voters.<\/h5>\n

Expanding the concept of \u201chate\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n
If Jews switch to accusations of \u201canti-Jewish racism\u201d against Corbyn, they will fare no better. After all, his Shadow Foreign Secretary is the Black Jamaican Diane Abbott<\/strong><\/a><\/span> and his Shadow Attorney-General is the brown Bengali Shami Chakrabarti<\/strong><\/a><\/span>. How could two non-White women like Abbott and Chakrabarti be such close allies and associates of Corbyn if he\u2019s racist? One possible answer is that Abbott and Chakrabarti are racist against Jews too.<\/h5>\n
But it\u2019s presently impossible for Jews in Britain to openly say that these two vibrant women are racist, although it follows logically from Goldstein\u2019s accusation that<\/span><\/strong><\/a> Labour is an \u201cinstitutionally racist party.\u201d There are signs, however, that Jews and their allies may be making attempts to extend the concept of \u201chate\u201d so that non-Whites can be guilty of it too. When I visited a webpage run by Victim Support UK<\/span><\/strong><\/a> about the \u201cScottish Government Consultation on Hate Crime,\u201d I was very surprised to see how it illustrated the theme of \u201cIslamophobia.\u201d There was a large photo of a Black youth gleefully pouring beer over the hijab-clad head of a pale-skinned Muslim girl:<\/h5>\n

The image is evidence that Muslims are now higher than Blacks in the victimhood hierarchy, although the Black victimizer has to be male and the Muslim victim has to be female. The webpage doesn\u2019t give the provenance of the image, but it looks professionally produced, like another surprising image created by a famous advertising firm in London. It\u2019s a poster that shows a Black man ranting at a lesbian couple in a pub (unfortunately I haven\u2019t been able to find it in a larger size and have had to expand it with loss of definition):<\/h5>\n

This image is evidence that the \u201cLGBTQ community\u201d is now higher than Blacks in the victimhood hierarchy, although again the victimizer has to be male and the victims have to be female (one of whom is herself Black). The image was created b<\/span>y<\/strong><\/a> the advertising firm M&C Saatchi London for an \u201canti-hate\u201d campaign run by the British government. M&C Saatchi takes its name from Maurice and Charles Saatchi<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, the two Jewish brothers from Iraq who founded the earlier firm Saatchi & Saatchi, and who ran a very successful account<\/strong><\/a><\/span> for Margaret Thatcher\u2019s Conservative party in the 1980s. Now look at another anti-hate image created by<\/span><\/strong><\/a> M&C Saatchi for the government\u2019s campaign. It shows a kippah-wearing Jewish youth being shouted at by two hate-filled White men:<\/h5>\n

Now the role of hater is being filled by Whites in traditional fashion. But it\u2019s very interesting that, as we\u2019ve seen, the Saatchi campaign used a Black hater to illustrate lesbophobia and Victim Support UK used a Black hater<\/strong><\/a><\/span> to illustrate Islamophobia. Will we see more of this in future, as Jews use their enormous media power to re-shape the traditional categories of hate and victimhood? After all, many Jews are very worried about the rise of figures like Jeremy Corbyn and Ilhan Omar, whose political careers can survive repeated accusations of anti-Semitism. Jewish power is enormous but fragile, and I see welcome signs that it is beginning to crack.<\/h5>\n
