Interestingly, although the Guardian report below doesn\u2019t mention it, the European Union\u2019s chief negotiator admits that he doesn\u2019t know if the Brexit deal \u201cwill ever happen<\/span><\/a>\u201d<\/span>. Which is another way of saying that EU negotiators and their traitorous British counterparts are doing all in their power to sabotage the deal and keep Britain in the European Union.<\/h5>\n
Will this happen? We honestly don\u2019t know but the pro-Brexit sentiment is symptomatic of growing opposition to more centralised, dictatorial, transnational control, as epitomised by the European Union, aided and abetted by a duplicitous corporate media. Ed<\/h5>\n

Europe must never repeat Brexit, says Guy Verhofstadt<\/h1>\n

The European parliament\u2019s Brexit<\/a><\/strong><\/span> coordinator, Guy Verhofstadt, has warned that the UK\u2019s decision to leave the EU has already done \u201cfar more damage than has ever been predicted\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Appearing alongside the Liberal Democrat leader, Vince Cable<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, at a European election campaign event in Camden, north London, on Friday morning, the leader of the Alliance for Liberals and Democrats for Europe said he wanted to send a message to people on the continent to \u201cnever repeat Brexit again\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Verhofstadt, a former prime minister of Belgium, has been criticised for comments he made in a BBC documentary<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, in which he joked that Olly Robbins, the UK\u2019s chief negotiator, had asked him for Belgian citizenship. His aide was also recorded describing Theresa May\u2019s actions as insane and pathetic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Asked about the comments, Verhofstadt said the description of the prime minister had been taken out of context and the Robbin’s anecdote was \u201ca funny joke. Where is your British sense of humour? I hope that in Brexit you don\u2019t lose that. Your famous sense of humour.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking before Verhofstadt\u2019s arrival, Cable said that using such language to talk about the prime minister \u201cisn\u2019t my style\u201d. \u201cI would rather we treated the British prime minister, whether in the UK or Europe<\/a>, in a properly respectful way. It shouldn\u2019t be personalised,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

erhofstadt and Cable posed for photographs in front of about 30 Lib Dem activists before going canvassing, which consisted of knocking on one door \u2013 that of a man who plans to vote Liberal Democrat.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not here as a Brexit negotiator,\u201d Verhofstadt told journalists. \u201cI\u2019m here as leader of the Liberal Democrats<\/a> for Europe to support the most European party, the Lib Dems.\u201d He added: \u201cI think it\u2019s good ground to launch our programme \u2013 in London, in Britain \u2013 because it\u2019s already clear that Brexit has done far more damage than has ever been predicted.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s important to show that the European liberals and democrats support Vince Cable, support the Lib Dems in this difficult fight in Britain, in these European elections<\/a>. Secondly, we want to show by coming here a message to the continent to say never repeat Brexit again.<\/span><\/p>\n
